seems Edward turned out a lot better than Andy. guess being mom's favorite didn't really work for Andrew in the end.
And this is what a real "spare" does--support His country and His Family, not write whiney little books and cause his Grandparents such awful grief at the end of their lives.

I don't really know anything about Edward but he seems to be a class act with an even classier Wife.

Insiders claim Edward was always the Queens fav -her youngest child - it’s often the case. I firmly believe it too though she was always so aware that Andrew was the “spare” and went out of her way to alleviate that for him as she had seen how her own sister failed to cope with it.

The Queen loved Sarah and the girls - as that little family of 4 replicated her own happy childhood “we four” when her parents were just the Duke and Duchess of York - her father was the spare who never expected to take the throne.

But when Edward married Sophie I believe the Queen was at her happiest - the only perfect marriage - she adored Sophie like a daughter and her and Philip seemed happiest with the Wessex four adoring both Louise and James. Thank goodness since the Ginger one gave them nothing but heartache after he took up with the so called “actress”

Together and in separate engagements they have become two of the hardest working Royals and are always a pleasure to observe. I think the mature Sophie is even more beautiful as she ages. King Charles is fortunate he can count on his brother and sister in law to represent the RF so brilliantly.
