When they reline the interior what happens to the 'made in' and date code labels? Are they stitched back in?

I just dropped off my bag at the SF store to have my bag relined and it would take 4-6 weeks. I asked if they were shipping it to New York and she said no Southern California. I thought I heard Ontario.
Depending on the repair, some bags get a new datecode. Some members posted about that a few months ago.
I never relined my bags with louis vuitton. I have always opted for a repair shop and it works everytime. I get to keep the same datecode then and have had some great deals from repairing the ebay bags that needed relining tlc
If you want the contact I can give you. I usually wassup the lady and then she asks me to.send pictures and confirms it is possible to reline. I ship it to her and she returns it back. So easy and i guess cheaper than lv too!!! Think about it does anyone apart from you actually see the inside of your bag? No one will know!

No one will know!For accurate info, simply take your bag to Louis Vuitton and ask for an estimate. They will tell you 1) if your bag is repairable (depending on overall condition, bags may not be accepted for repairs) and 2) how much it would cost.
I had mine reclined in 2017 for $150.00. It came beautifully relined with a brand new pouch. I also had all of the vachetta straps redone. They had to send mine to France and the date code was a brand new one.
Hello, new member here! I’m looking at purchasing a petit bucket bag and the seller stated that it has been professionally relined by LV but that there’s no date code. From what I’ve been reading on here it sounds like whenever a bag is relined a new date code will be added with DK indicating the date is relined. Has anyone heard of LV relining a bag but not including the new date code?
I agree. Asking for receipts will help. The seller can print them off using their LV account online or in the store.
Also, in regards to the missing Date Code. When I got my Keepall 50 Bandouliere repaired, I had both hangers replaced. They stamped the “Louis Vuitton made in France” on the hanger but… they did not stamp the “50” near the D ring to indicate the size.
I just had my large Noe bag relined with all new vachetta. It is gorgeous! Took 3 months and cost $660. Worth every penny. Looks like a brand new bag.
