At the T5 duty-free Hermès you'll get the full 20% VAT discounted. It was actually a good deal even before the pound crashed. Now it's even more fun :biggrin:. It can be a little limited in selection but like most H duty-free in Europe, you can find surprises including exotic SLGs and the occasional Constance. For the dedicated H shopper it is worth it even if you're flying out of another terminal :p

And the security never understood why I insisted to go to the wrong terminal. :lol::lol::lol:

I didn't know you can actually go to the terminal you are not flying from. How does it work? Do you get into T5 through security and then coming out again to get to the terminal you are flying from? Thanks.

No you can't. But what you can do is that you book an appointment with Heathrow personal shoppers. They will meet you at your terminal's information desk. They can escort you to other terminals for shopping and escort you back. I tried twice and I feel that it's a very convenient service. They do have the requirement that you must have at least three hours before your flight though I don't know if they follow this rule strictly.

There are threads about the duty free airport stores, and VAT refunds. If this one could return to the topic of this year's price increase it would be appreciated. Thanks.
