Fabulous!
Please, would you mind sharing your cardigan brand - the colour would fit some of my scarves too and have not seen any such cardigan colour recently...

Cannot stop watching the outfit - wow! :smile1:

Hi Zaduzl
The cardigan is from last year. It is a thin marino wool blend that I bought from Ann Taylor. However, this summer I purchased a cashmere cardigan from Lily Pulitzer in the same color family. I actually think the cashmere sweater looks better with the scarf. It is more turquoise green than turquoise blue (if that makes sense). Thank you!:smile1:

Here is the rose indien cw of J'aime mon carré. I was initially very suspect about this scarf, but when worn, it's fabulous. I'm already thinking of another cw . . . .

^Congratulations arabesques! I received the grey cw earlier this week. Such a fun scarf. The stock photos made the pink cw seem very bright and neony, but yours looks so much prettier IRL--a beautiful muted dark rose!

^Cosmopolitan, So happy to be a scarf sibling with you! The grey cw caught my eye, too, but the greens can do poor things with my skin. Yes, this pink is less over the top than the stock photos suggest, although the real-life scarf has enough brightness to give my pale complexion a wonderful pop.

Thanks for revealing your cardigan brands. You are fully right with the turquoise working better with a scarf!
I am so glad I can pair it up with my CenC which has a touch of turquoise!
I am off for searching the cardigan in turqoise!
I have thought whole my life that turquoise cannot work for cardigan at all, aren't the style secrets just amazing? :smile1:

Thank you mimi123, but I only got the blue Phoenix shown on the right side. The SA sent me that picture when I asked if they'd received any other colors. But only one mousseline for me in this pattern. So I don't know the details of the orange one, so sorry! :D

Gorgeous vintage scarf arabesques!

oh my goodness! I feel horrible having this scarf if it is discriminatory. my apologies if I offend any one. Perhaps I should do more research before posting and wearing!

Ladybaga, I think your espirt ainou is beautiful on you. I intend to get one.

As far as scarves putting people off, the African folk art design Lilanga was not ordered in the U.S. I have to admit I didn't understand the scarf until I wandered into part of the Smithsonian that connected to the Museum of African Art. There were paintings on the wall that were really like Lilanga in style. Coulda been the same artist.

The intent is to present a homage to a particular ethnic style in creating a scarf like ainou. There must be something very French in this approach: YSL frequently did a clothing homage to artists like Georges Braque, Mondrian, and maybe also Monet. Ladybaga, remember that saying: Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

Ainou is a gorgeous design on you. Wear it happily.

Dear Ladybaga, I repeat, Esprit Ainou is beautiful on you, and especially you look enjoying to wear it!
Tanker Toad and Eagle1002us, thank you for another similar stories, it is interesting in a sense. As Eagle1002us said, I think, to be chosen by H is an honor, it is a sophisticated way to present homage to a particular community. After the big earthquake in March, when I knew that two of F/W scarves are dedicated to the Japanese style, I felt happy, it was like special encouragement by H (even if I knew, it was just in coincidence!). So Ladybaga, wear it happily!!!!

Ladybaga - I think the scarf is a beauty and you should be proud to wear it. I am of Hawaiian/Japanese heritage and I covet the scarves that reflect my culture and traditions. Enjoy it and know that your intentions are to honor the differences that make this world so beautiful.

arabesques and Cosmopolitan - That JMC scarf is darling. It is definately on my wish list.

eagle1002us,Iris, Lucky Closet, zaduzl:hugs:

Thank you for your kind words. I love the design of the scarf and am always eager to learn the history behind the works of art. You are very right in that this is a way to honor the Ainou. I will wear this proudly and am honored to be a canvas for this scarf.

Have a wonderful weekend!

I know you will look amazing with the CenC and turquoise sweater! I am so excited that you mentioned the CenC, because I will pair it with mine as well.
Sorry off topic, but next week is multiples week in Scarf of the Day, so I will post that combo then. Turquoise is one of those colors that in any shade looks good on every skin tone, hair/eye color etc. I wish I owned every cardigan of lanit's. She has impeccable style.
