Calling London...I spent today trawling Hermes in Sloane st , Bond St and Harrods and can report that I saw some wondrous things . Bond St ...no new scarves at all . Sloane St not on display but I was shown the drawers full of the Magic Kelly in about 6 c'ways, L'Ivresse d'Infini , L'arbre de la Vie all DIVINE and much better IRL
Harrods had more new designs incl the Annie Faivre 90 cm . Also some beutiful 140 cashmeres and a couple of 70 cm Texas which were unbelievably DIVINE . Like the other ladies I was frustrated by lack of choice in the Texas , only 2 c'ways red/orange also blue/ pink . I am afraid I didn't buy today as I hate not seeing all the options ....

I have found a gavroche L'annee du Dragon in etope/rose the/sepia in my local store today :)
Sadly they didn't have any 70s in yet, and 90s only L'abre de la vie in all of the CWs.

"Maybe with the style number, UNO can go fishing again for other colors of Sequences GM shawl? :graucho:"

Mia, only the cashmere GMs already posted in this thread will be on the H website. Sequences won't be one of them. There aren't any new pictures either (70's, twillys, etc). I am sure that when there are new pictures, they will be posted to TPF pronto.

Hi frou frou! You might have been there at the same time as me (around midday in Harrods?)!

I did come home with a couple of new season beauties: L'arbre de vie in 05 and EL en Kimonos 10. The latter had not been on my wishlist in that particular cw but I absolutely love the way it ties, and may well be back for the other 2 cw's that I fancied! Eek!

Another good bit of news is that Harrods is still charging £260 for the 90 carres, so we better keep that one to ourselves! Nudge, nudge, wink, wink! I don't know what the other boutiques are charging, as I didn't have time to go to those today, but after reading your report, I'm glad I didn't bother!!

The new twilly designs include Les Coupes, Folklores & Esprit Ainou. But I'm holding out to see what cw's Belles will come in!

That's all for my report today folks!

JulesB68....Congratulations fabulous scarves. I was there at about 1.30 so we missed meeting !L'arbre de la vie is so fabulous IRL I was tempted by the red which suited my colouring best
I did ask for EL en Kimonos as that's the scarf I really want, they said that they didn't have it but the SA had been on hols and didn't really know what was what . Yours is so gorgeous ... I think I'm going back tomorrow to look again, despite the place being unbelievably busy . Can you remember the c'ways of EL en K that they did have ?I'm after navy or grey with a touch of red .

^Oooooohhh, congratulations on your pretty scarves JulesB68! Thanks especially for the pics of L'arbre de vie in 05. I couldn't tell previously whether the background was gray or brown on that one, but it looks brown in your pics, right? Would you mind posting the official color names from the tag? Thank you and enjoy your new beauties!

Thanks Cosmo & frou frou!

The L'arbre de vie 05 is Reglisse/Vieux rose/Turquoise. It is more grey but in some light it seems to "borrow" some of the pinks & browns from the design, softening the overall colour, if that makes any sense?! Maybe it's just my failing eyesight, lol! It's a little bit chameleon like etoupe can be. I had a dark blue top on which it didn't particularly go with (bought it anyway!) but my SA had a top which was a very dark navy/almost black top on which it looked much better with.

EL en Kimonos 10 is Bleu/Parme/Rouge. The dominant blue around the edges, which shows most when you do a basic fold, is very close to Mykonos. The green in this colourway is a lovely fresh minty green, and I think this will be a lovely scarf for the rest of the summer, whatever that may turn out to be in the UK, depending on what the Gods decide to dish out to the us! Definitely more summery colours than A/W.

HTH!

That's what occurred to me when I saw some of the cw's of the new scarves. I think H is going gangbusters for the Indian and South China market. But there's no Russian-oriented theme this year and that's another emerging market.

The design of Espirt Ainou looked arts and crafts or art nouveau-ish to me. Did you Londoners think that?

And, Apache is our very own (USA! USA!).

Eagle
I feel ambivalent about Esprit d'Ainou [ ?] I know what you mean about Arts and Crafts , although it hadn't occurred to me . On the other hand there is no representation of natural life forms . It's a curvy geometric design , a bit like a tiled floor ,I would never have guessed the designer ...Frankly if I saw it being worn I probably wouldn't really register much except colours

JulesB68, those scarves are fabulous. I've yet to encounter an EL en Kimono but your photo has convinced me that I have to try a bit harder because it is simply gorgeous.

A question out to those who have seen or purchased a GM L'Arbre de Vie - I just got mine yesterday in CW 7, which has the black background (yet to be fully photographed and posted). I think it's gorgeous BUT I'm still up in the air whether to return it or not. I know the GM colours are usually more muted than the silk colours but I can't get over how the colours on this one just seem not to pop. If I look at the pics of the GM, the flowers are more vivid whereas IRL they seem more rust coloured. This was the pic from the thread / H.com:

and here's the same area in mine:

it is taken in natural light so one can see a bit of the greyish cast from the sunlight... but the lack of contrast between the background and the colours is evident when the two photos are compared. Before I get in touch with H to see about a replacement, I had hoped someone else out there had seen/purchased a GM LADV and could give me their opinions.

Thanks, ladies!

Oh, Julian, the GM L'Arbre de Vie seems gorgeous on H.com, but seems dull in real life...I remember the black GM Mawari, the contrast between background and print was stunning.

Problem fixed...I now have a proper L'Arbre de Vie GM CW07. One important point on this one - lighting also really affects the colours, keep that one in mind because I put this one through a few different light scenarios and the contrast really was varied. I've never had something like this before...oh well, you live, you learn.

This is the best shot I could get of it spread out (sorry but my usual spot is being renovated):
