Preloved Multicolor speedy piece that lost its shape :-/

Being such a heavy bag, and such a thin line of vachetta at the seams, I am having a hard time trying to regain her once beautiful shape. Should I stuff it to the brim and overpop it? Or put a weight in and hang train from a door knob? Is there much hope in regaining lost shape on an almost 10 year old piece?

Of course a couple areas of screen printing have chipped. Is the any cure for that? I have a few MC SLG's and am thrilled to add a bag to my collection, but am worried I can't restore her back to the full beauty she was. All in all that will be fine as I love her. But, being a novice to this piece I just had to get some advise and opinions. Thank you

What sort of shape has it distorted into? Can you post a picture of what you mean?

As for the chips, I'm afraid it's chipped. It just happens to MC pieces.

Yes, please show us a picture. I just started stuffing my bags with pillows when not in use. I hope it will keep the shape of my older bags.

May I know did you get the 1 layer or 2 layers Samorga? And do u need to use it with a base shaper? Appreciate if you can advice.

I don't think they gave me an option for 1 or 2 layers when I ordered, but I got the 2mm thick one. As the felt material was pretty sturdy, I did not need to use a base shaper. HTH!

Can you post a picture of it? I was dealing with something similar as I over stretched one side of my speedy while sunbathing it with a blanket inside. My attempt to fix it was taking it out in the sun, warmed up the canvas, smoothed it out, took it to the basement and hanged it on the doorknob

I am not an LV person(gasp) but when I see a bag that looks like this I fall in love. I' m an absolute sucker for well used bags. There is just too much character to overlook. If it was mine, I would keep it as is.

I also think she’s beautiful as she is when not using my 2003 speedy MC I keep her stuffed with a pillow. Obviously when I take her out, she sags a bit. She’s chipped as well and absolutely perfect.

I purchased a bag organizer off Amazon for 16$ and it helped a lot. I was finally able to make an appointment for the 19th with LV to get the piping and straps replaced..and hopefully the hardware too!

Hey there! I have one too, mine is from 2005 and I store here packed with towels so that she keeps her shape, she's also always in her dustbag when stored. Because of the way the bag is constructed and the lining it tends to put extra pressure on the canvas when the bag is carried open, the canvas tends to "tilt" in, therefore I always carry her closed and when I reach in, I make sure to hold it up so that the canvas is not tilting towards the inside. TBH Its the only bag I baby like that and the bag I worry the most. But regardless I really love her.
