Hi everyone! This is my first reveal...and my first pre-loved bag...and my first Epi bag...and only my second LV!

First, I would like to thank madforhandbags for graciously answering my many questions about this beautiful bag. Her detailed answers and photos really helped me make the decision to purchase! She arrived yesterday and is just beautiful. Just beautiful. Like a delicious red apple!

Please meet my new to me Coquelicot Epi Leather Doc BB!

Hi Annawakes,

I read your post regarding the Doc BB bag, this made me pull the trigger on buying it from the preloved market. As I fell in love with the Doc BB at first sight. However there is not much review about this bag, I guess not only the bag is discontinued since 2014, but also it is seasonal colletion.

My bag is in excellent condition 9/10, with slight wear on vachetta. However I found a big dent in the front of the bag which was not shown on the seller's picture, but I noticed the next day under the sun. It bothers me a lot as I was not expected the dent from the seller's listing.

Here is the dent on my bag. Do you think it is normal? I am not sure if I should return the bag(seller is from Japan), and I also paid duties already.

Hi lemondln. Congrats on your doc bb! It is indeed a rare and beautiful bag. I actually think the dent is normal. I’ve seen this kind of dent in epi speedy 25’s as well. I think the epi, while stiffer than canvas, is still fairly pliable, so the dent forms once the leather has softened a bit. If you think about how a canvas speedy slouches in, it’s basically the same kind of dent.

That said, even though I think the dent is normal, it did bother me. I’ve since sold on my doc bb partly because I could see a dent forming, and I let it go before it got much worse. I don’t think filling up the bag helped either, if I remember correctly, because the dent happens right where it curves at the top.....so it’s hard to fill it at that exact spot.

and with that said.....I do actually still think about that doc bb from time to time. It was really a gorgeous and unique bag, so beautifully made. If you are super in love with it, I would keep it because they are very rare to find. And then, I would stuff it to the brim with air paper or socks (I used socks!) when I wasn’t using it. To keep its round shape. That helped the dent not to form or worsen too badly, when I used it.

Thank you so much for your reply!

I agree the bag is so beautiful and unique. Also, I cannot find anything else wrong with the bag, it is indeed well made.

Yes, I love this bag so much, decided not to return it as the return is a hassle as well.

This also is a lesson learned that I should be really cautious to buy preloved bags. (This bag is my second preloved bag. This bag is hard to find in almost new condition + at a reasonable price. -- all reasonable price has a reason indeed)

Look how beautiful this Doc BB, I did not notice the dent until this morning when I took the photo (What's in your passenger seat?) :P

I am even thinking if the vachetta becomes honey patina will match the red epi well, as yellow and red are great colors combination.
