I guess I'd keep the wedding finger for relationship milestones - anniversaries, birth of a child, etc. Heck, maybe even a birthday. A career milestone is just as worthy of celebration with jewelry, I just wouldn't wear it on that finger. I'd go with a watch or earrings or even a pendant or a RHR. But that's just personal preference. There's nothing WRONG with adding to your wedding rings; it just doesn't make sense in my head to do so for something that has virtually nothing to do with the relationship/marriage.
