I vote for returning it and get another rogue. And here is why:

The base line is you don't want to keep two similar bag. And I normally decide 2 bags are not similar if they are (1st) different shape , (2nd) different size, (3rd) different color tone, (4th) different embellishments, (last) different details.

i have to say these two bags are : 1) same shape, 2) same size, 3)same color tone, 4) same non-embellished bags, just with different details.

Yes, i didn't type it wrong, they are the SAME color tone. I consider colors by tones: cold light , dark warm, black, white, nurture. They are both dark warm color, which means they will suit to the same outfits, work for the same seasons. The new rogue will just make you use less of your old rogue.

Since you like the rogue bag so much, I would recommend to still chose the same shape, but go for another size (rogue 25), color tone, or go for an embellished rogue. There should be still a lot choices on sale for you to chose from.

Btw, I love rogue so much as well. I don't allow me to throw money on 2 similar bag either. I've bought 3, I chose them by the same rules, and they have to be at least 2 factors I mentioned above different from each other.

The different hardware color makes each bag fill a different niche for me. I try to match hardware to jewelry and embellishments on clothing when I can. Also the external suede panels on the turquoise would make me chose the denim in wet weather.

My exact thoughts and the blue is much more wearable there is a reason the green and melon are reduced imo

Thanks so much for all the great advice! I decided to exchange the Turquoise Rogue for the Prairie Rivets Rogue in Oxblood with Black Copper Hardware (12164 BP L6N). It was only $87 more than the turquoise Rogue so it was still a great deal, and now my 2 Rogue bags are quite different. I am very happy that I made the decision to return the turquoise bag - although it is a gorgeous bag!

They look different to me. I say keep the turquoise.

Agree with Hobbsy. I love all the details on the turquoise one. I think there's enough difference in color and details to justify owning both.

I don't think the whipstitched handle makes the new Rogue different enough. I would return it. I am a person who has the same exact bag in two very different colors, so take that as you will.

Keep the new Rogue !!! They are both gorgeous bags and colors . The style is of course the same but I feel the color is different enough to justify keeping . Esp. since you got a great deal . I am a person who buys the same style bag in different colors , patterns , etc . I rarely go out side my comfort zone . I saw this bag in store a week ago . Its a keeper imo . Good luck deciding

I'd keep both. Different colors, different hardware. Both can be year round colors. To me It's like having a black rogue and a saddle rogue.

They "look different", but I think I recall you said in your reveal thread that they fill the same space/purpose in your bag wardrobe. This makes it a different case from your 2 Nomads, IMO, which means my vote is for finding something else.

Can’t see the poll on my phone (wish this would get fixed!), so voting here. As nice as bag #2 is I say return it due you to saying you’re trying to buy more variety. These look too similar to me. Let us know what you decide!

While they're different colours, they are similar. If they'd fill the same spot in your purse wardrobe, you'd probably just end up using each less often. This is something I have to be careful of as well. I'd say return it. Find something different enough to not serve the same purpose for you.

BTW, the Denim is gorgeous, particularly with that charm.

Personally, I don’t like mixing black with blue, so I would use the denim one when wearing brown, and use the turquoise when wearing black.

While they are both gorgeous, I do think they are pretty similar. I would return it and get something else that is very different (or wait until something comes along). I definitely know that there is always one more purse on the horizon for me that I will love so I assume it is that way with you too! LOL

I agree with the return votes. If you want something in the rogue family, maybe a tea rose rogue instead.? The blue and green are both nice but I'm not sure I'd use green one. I have a denim rogue in the doctor's style and love the color. I was tempted to buy the regular rogue in the denim but realized I was only going to buy because of the price. I can use the $ toward something more different.

Keep both!!!

I would keep the new Turquoise Rogue. The suede sides and black accents make this bag different enough. Plus, it's a gorgeous color which you don't see every day! Enjoy it! :p

I have a dark denim Rogue (38124 OL L61) that I have owned for several months and I really love it, but last night I bought a new embellished, whipstitch turquoise Rogue (58116 BP MIW) and I love it too! I got the new bag at a great price but I could have bought other gorgeous bags, some of them even cheaper, but I was drawn to the turquoise Rogue.

That's all fine, but the problem is that I love lots and lots of bags - and I have invested money and closet space in the past on bags that I no longer carry very often because they are similar to other bags in my purse wardrobe - and I tend to default to my favorites when picking a bag to carry. So now I attempt to be a bit more selective when choosing new bags. I try not to buy more than 2 bags of the same style and to make sure that they are quite different - so that I can carry them in different situations, seasons, with different outfits, etc. I don't always succeed with this program, but I keep trying!

For example, I have a plain Carmine (orange/red) Nomad and also a Gray Birch Nomad with wildflower decoration - so they are very different bags even though they are both Nomads.

Below are pictures of my 2 Rogues and there are some differences. They are different colors but the turquoise bag is green/blue and in low light they both look rather blue/gray. They are the same size and style and have the same saddle-colored suede lining; but the turquoise bag has whipstitch handles and fringe, suede side panels, black hardware instead of gold, and black trim with contrasting light stitching.

They are both gorgeous, but are they too similar? Should I return my new turquoise Rogue? Please vote in the poll above and let me know your opinion. But be advised that you may not be able to see the poll on your phone - in that case just post your response below. I am looking forward to hearing your feedback, thanks!

Although the styles are the same the beautiful colors are different enough to justify keeping both. I personally would keep both! The only thing to maybe consider is if you have OTHER bags that already fill the need for these bags. If not I say go for it!

Nice! Love Oxblood!

Nice! Love the oxblood with the rivets!!

Thanks! I kept loving the idea of an oxblood-colored bag, because it is a dark, rich color that I didn't have in my purse wardrobe, but I actually fell in/out of love with 3 of them before buying this bag! Sometimes I do decide to take a bag home to try around the house before cutting the tags, and I kept falling for oxblood bags, buying them, and returning them. It was as if oxblood bags were the Susan Lucci of my purse collection! In my defense, I did have a generous gift card in my wallet urging me to buy a new bag - but my efforts to find the perfect oxblood bag kept failing!

The first attempt was a oxblood Gramercy bag and I loved the color and the look, but it was heav, a tad small, and the functionality was problematic. I tried it out at home and had trouble just getting my hand in and out quickly - I even scraped my knuckles on the catch - so I returned it.

Then I bought an oxblood Nomad, I love the Nomad style but I had 2 of them already. After I got it home I realized that it wasn't such a great bargain after all - because it was an older style and I had paid significantly more for it that the higher-retail value wildflower gray birch nomad that I liked a lot more - so I decided to return it and save my gift money for a newer bag.

Then I saw a beautiful large oxblood satchel on the factory online sale so I ordered it. The bag was lovely but when I saw it IRL I realized that it was too big and boxy for me. So I returned it to the outlet - but that's when I found my beloved dark denim Rogue bag, I instantly knew it was a keeper and was happy to hand over my gift money. Just like I instantly knew that the oxblood Prairie Rivets Rogue was the right bag for me as soon as I saw it! I just needed the patience to find the right oxblood bag at the right price!
