I have the black one and I love it. The most versatile piece ever, and no worries about colour transfer from my clothes.

I love the versatility of my turtledove! I can't say I've been at all careful about wearing it with jeans/dark colors and haven't experienced any color transfer.

I recently bought the Black & it goes amazing with everything. I think the classic black empreinte is more demure. I originally wanted the Mono canvas, but who wants to walk around with the same bag as other girls. Many people have the empreinte but not as much as the mono canvas. I am also getting the turtledove soon. I suggest buying in France as I paid USD $2,200 for the bag. I live in NYC and that bag would cost me $3,092 with tax. I’m in the same debacle in November 2022. I like the monogram but also the black eimpreinte. But my main interest is that i want to buy a pochette metis as an investment. I’m not planning to use it. Which bag would you buy that would retain the retail value or go up in price? I see that both bags PM Mono and black Empreinte are available in the usa and europe. Wich one should buy first if i want yo sell it later. I know is difficult to look in the future but i would like to get an opinion from you thinking in value instead of what i like. I like the monogram the most but also the black in eimpreinte wich on do you think (or have experience with)will keep its retail value. Thanks !

When I was shopping for my Pochette Metis in 2018, both monogram and reverse monogram were sold out. Nowhere to be found. They were like unicorns.
The empreinte has always been available. Maybe because LV really tries to push for leather versions of everything. But I'm a monogram girl at heart. I grew up with LV mono luggage pieces and handbags. I have so many pieces passed down from my grandparents.
When my chance came, the SA called and said a monogram PM was available. I immediately purchased it in a few hours. Then the next day, she said the reverse came in. My heart twitched for a few seconds. And she told me that I'm better off with the mono print because it goes better with most wardrobe. Reverse, you have to think about what you're wearing because it's a tri-colored bag.
