My vote goes to the valentino glam lock bag. I just bought 1 in burgundy color. Before the purchase, I was also wondering if this bag is versatile enough, so I searched the internet for pictures of people wearing the bag. To my pleasant surprise, many people are able to style it both casually and formally. In casual mode, it's chic and edgy...in formal mode, it's glamorous with some twist. I love this bag so much!

I have the Alma BB and I love it! I don't like vernis much though, it looks slightly plastic. Valentino is very known for rockstuds but I don't know how long will it look nice... As others have pointed out you might get tired of it easily.
I'd say go for the bag you really want (Gucci). If you "settle" for another bag you will regret it later. This happened to me and in the end I had to buy the bag I had originally wanted.

It depends on how long your long wallet is. I managed to put my long wallet in my Alma BB but it'll end up taking all the space in the bag. I own both the Alma BB and the Valentino Glamlock (small size), and to me they're 2 very different bags. Honestly though, I would go for the glamlock if red is the colour I'm looking to get. Easier to transition from day to night too, and can spark up a casual outfit (e.g. Wendylookbook). Red and alma BB is a bit 'in your face' (to me anyway). I love the Valentino's red shade. I don't own any Gucci so can't comment.

I hate to break it to you but I bought a LV Twist HAHAHAHHA so there's no help here
Super fickle I know! It's because I went to the store and i realise that the LV alma bb is too long for me, the whole bag hits very awkwardly below my hips 
and the valentino sags (look up people's 1 year on review of their valentino) it sort of sags below the clasp and the Gucci is just so so soso tiny!! Good luck pursehunting!
