Hello everyone!
This is another "help me choose" thread :D
I have finally decided to get myself a Rolex, this is a super special purchase and I want it to last forever, something I can always wear. Now at 26 and later at 50 kwim?

After search and trying out some different models at the store I have come down to two options

Datejust 36 mm in this combo but with roman numbers

Submariner without date

What I always wear on my wrists is two Cartier love bracelet in white and rose gold. Nothing else, no rings eigther.

I dress very simple and casual, never wear prints haha

Help! And thanks :)

Datejust. If your style is classic and conservative, go with the datejust. The fluted bezel and the jubilee bracelet make it look more like jewelry, so it will go with your two love bracelets, and you'll be able to dress it up. The fact that you're looking at a 36mm makes it trendy enough for you at 26, but being a datejust with roman numerals, it'll be a classic that will serve you well at 50.

Two very different looks to choose from :thinkin:

The datejust will be easier to wear whenever you feel like dressing up, I feel like it's more versatile for a woman.

+1

My husband prefers the sub no date and that is what I gave him. I disagree that the sub is less suited for all occasions. Clean lines make it very well suited to business wear and black tie. I love it too and steal it on occasion!

Thank you! I didn't think about it that way but it does look more like jewelry

Thank you for the advice everyone I was there again today and tried some more.... I love both equally but I feel like the date just will always be a classic. I am afraid the submariner will be dated in some years

Yes I am a guy :)

The submariner is a classic too! Been around a long time. It was the watch James Bond wore (when Sean Connery played him). I would go with the sub for an everyday watch.
