I seem to remember blue iris only come in exotic, please correct me if I’m wrong. Due to the all too familiar quota on bags per year, and therefore having to think thru all decisions very carefully, I’m also considering to add a gris asphalt Kelly first. Or if anyone has intel on rose Sakura birkin this year..? Decisions decisions

I always go from ‘wear the most’ to ‘wear the least’ when I’m trying to prioritize my wishlist.
Funny that you mention the Gris A Kelly. I love neutrals, walked in wanting a Gris T Birkin and the minute I was shown the Blue Iris, my knees buckled lol
I got an Etoupe after, but that day, the box that lit up when they opened it, was the blue bag!

I'm trying to talk myself out of buying similar coloured bags, but i am aware that you have a big collection of beautiful black bags! do you rotate them often?

you're absolutely right about the blue iris!! its so breathtaking. and I can totally understand why it can be a perfect neutral. so dreamy! Back to the reason that I'm asking about your black collection is because i currently have an etain 28 kelly retourne PHW, but still want a GA kelly 25 retourne GHW. back of my mind says too similar, but i suppose if I'm a neutral lover, never too many neutral bags, right?

By all means get the GA! They’re different neutrals, sizes and hardware; you’re totally justified!
When you wear a certain something, the right variations of it will never go unused on your wardrobe. Just look at your previous most used bags as a starting point for size, color and style and adapt it to right now in case your lifestyle has changed, etc.

for this year I probably wanna take it slow and steady, so as much as I wish to add a coloured bag to my collection, that probably have to take a backseat for now. don't wanna tumble too fast down this slippery H slope (is that even possible??

Edited to add: I keep coming back to a comment you made about knowing which colours you wanted before you decided on the specific bag. Thanks for sharing that thought provoking idea. I think I have always picked the bag first then the colour/leather. Something for me to reflect on.

If I can step in. I have an etain birkin phw and a GT kelly ghw. The etain reads as grey/ cool and the GT reads as beige/ warm. They are my two most used bags. GA is very similar to GT. I think the combinations that you have in mind will work well and are not duplicative.
Dream neutrals all with GHW. That’s what heaven is probably like hehehe
