Hello everyone! I never thought I would be interested in this bag, but recently I can't stop thinking about it!!

I've researched on this forum and it seems there's sooooo many issues with it, even after they released the new model. Some have had to exchange their bags several times. The tabs seems to fray easily, peeling issues, zipper turning silver etc etc... I know a well-used bag will of course so signs of wear over time and I'm ok with that, but this bag apparently shows signs of wear only after a few uses?

Has anyone had this bag for a while now, and still happy with it? If I'm going to spend almost £1,500 I really want to feel confident that it is worth it, no matter how cute it is!

I bought mine back in May or June. Either I am lucky or oblivious, shows zero signs of wear nor does it have any defects (that I can see).

I am not hard on my bags, but they do get used, and so far it is holding up nicely.

EDIT: I think if you look hard enough at any bag, you can find something "wrong". Not to say that this bag doesn't have a track record of issues, but mine seems fine.

I got mine in December of last year and still wear it all the time! There is a tiny bit of peeling on the front pocket but it’s so small it doesn’t bother me. Besides that I have no issues with it at all!

I ended up selling my Palm Springs Mini reverse yesterday after nitpicking it after having it for a year. My bag started to wear allot on the leather tab section on the back where the d-ring loops are (I only wear it crossbody) and it really started to annoy me especially since it started showing signs of wear after a few uses. It’s a nice bag buuuut I wish I had better luck with finding a perfect Palm Springs mini bag since mine just felt like it was sewn together by a newbie LV crafter and I wish I didn’t settle on it when I first got it. I don’t think I’ll get this bag again after selling it and this was my dream bag for 2 years before I ended up getting it.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I really love the idea of owning this bag now too, but with so many issues it seems to have, I'm not sure it's worth it...

No issues with mine, however I have the new zip version, and I don't use the external pocket. Keep in mind that it's an extremely popular bag, and for any staple bag that loads of people have you're going to come across more stories of wear or quality issues (same is true for the Neverfull, Pochette Metis etc).

Mine has been fine too- Have had it since February & am obsessed with it. I also have the newer zip version and do not use external pocket either. I felt the same way about the bag and let it sit in box for a month before I started using it. I have used it almost everyday since and its been great- I also say go for it! Mine was made in Spain... I always like to check where my LV bags are actually made :). Did you see the new Montsouris BB? Looks super cute and similar - although people are concerned that the sharp corners might show wear easily over time... Just another option! GL!

Glad to hear it's working out for you!
Omg yes the Montsouris BB is too cute! But yes, the sharp corners are putting me off and the PSM is just a tad bit more cuter!

I agree- I think its cuter. If you go into store, just inspect it good before you buy and ask about return/exchange policy if something happens to it quickly. I have an SA I work with that will send pics and inspect for me :). It does seem like people have more issues with ones made in TX so maybe check code too... Seem like a lot of work but I hesitated for 2 years and wish I had gotten it sooner although glad they came out with the new zipper.

Thank you for the tips! I'm from UK so I'll most likely get one made in France, but I think I'm just going to hope for the best and get this bag next! x
