It might not have been called a Boston bag then but it's certainly the Boston bag shape. It's lovely, I would be very proud to own this or rhinestone-diva's saddle bag above from the same era.

Now at least I know the style for future reference. Strangely, I haven't come across the bag in red.
I'm considering the one at Yoogi's Closet. I see they are in Seattle, not too far from here in Portland. I'll ask her mom just how important the color was to her.

I'm really sorry papertiger. It's just that I'm really happy with it. Can't afford a new one so might as well stick with something vintage and REAL. But then again, super thank you for all your feedback!
i've been looking for the name of this bag but can't seem to find it! went to the gucci website and searched for the serial no. 190259 but it doesn't give out any result

My fabulous find for the weekend at a local consignment store. It looks like it has never been used.... and it's a beauty. Does anyone know what the name is and the collection it is from. How old would it be? I am so excited!
