It can be referred to as lavender as well. :smile1:

Oh, ok. :smile1: So Gucci doesn't really have like, its own names for the colors, does it?

Do you also happen to know what year this style was first released? Is there any way of finding it out? Like maybe from the serial number for this particular bag? Sorry for asking too much :p

I really don't know much about Gucci. With Balenciaga usually they have the year, and LV with the date/year a bag was made. So what about Gucci?

Thank you so much. Can't say enough :hugs:

I apologize for the picture being so dark and blurry, it's probably utterly useless, but it's the 'best' picture the seller could offer me.

Can anyone ID this off-hand?

Thanks so much in advance!

The style is from 2005.

sorry I think I have posted in the wrong place:

Hi, I am new on the gucci thread normally only active in the Hermes Subforum. I got a lovely vintage Gucci bag from a friend today and hope some Gucci specialist can tell me which model it is.

She does not know the year she bought it but most probably in the late 70ies early 80ies. I just found the serial number - which part is relevant???

It is made out of hard blue plastic with red leather stripe. Would appreciate any help - many thanks in advance!

Here is a neat "Authentic" (thanks ladies) Centennial of the Founder 1881-1981 Guccio Gucci key ring. I am guessing that it is a commemorative piece of some collection. It is Yellow gold toned and Silver toned. Engraved on both sides of the key ring It is beautiful and was owned in the family. I have not been able to find anything with research off the forum and hopefully you all can help I also would love to know the value of this Vintage piece family members have asked;). I am knowledgeable with Chanel and limited here, however love this forums expertise. Does anyone have information on this piece? Enjoy the photos. And help me "Name That Gucci!"

As you can prob guess the key ring commenorates Guccio Gucci's (the founder of Gucci) birth year centenary (1881). He died in 1953. He gave his intials to Guccis logo GG

Perhaps you could look for silver or gold markings. Gucci made a few rare pieces, including evening bags in sterling silver (9.25) and 18K plated. This would of course increase the value.

Otherwise the resale value is not great but perhaps more than most other vintage Gucci key-rings. New metal Key-rings are approc $100-150, so you might get that from a hard core Gucci collector. Most GG colectors prefer leather ware and silk scarves and the cut off date is about 1983 for high end vintage collectors pieces (earlty to late 1970s being the favourite)

A reputable consignment stores/sellers or an auction house would prob get you more $ than on-line auctions because they have regular customers.

Of course it might be nice to keep it in the family:p
