Please identify this Gucci

Hi all - hope you can help with this bag I bought a couple of years back. I posted a couple of weeks ago in the Authenticate This forum, and beejerry was super-nice and authenticated for me.
She thought it was from 2004/5, but I'm hoping to get more details now that I found this thread (missed it before).
Can anyone help with the name or style? Confirmation of the date? I'm usually in the Bal or Hermes forum and am clueless about the Gucci I bought! I'm trying to do my research and the best I can come up with on my own is that it's a horsebit style...:shame:

The first is the Joy boston bag. The second is Capri collection bag. The last one, I think, is just referred to as boston bag.

I am guessing that it must be called a horsebit something because of the hardware.

I am usually hanging out in COACH forums...but I could use your help.
This GUCCI purse belonged to my Mom and I believe she bought it at Marshall Fields back in the late 80's...maybe like 1988. Does anybody know anything about this bag or have any info to share about it?
