Hello, I'm brand new in looking at Chanel and I saw this bag from a reseller and I thought it looks so pretty. It's vintage but I don't know the name, anyone know? They are asking $4,500; is that a good price??? Thanks so much for any advice you can offer to a newbie!!

Decades ago we simply called it the classic. Today it’s more commonly known as a double flap 2.55. There are different sizes. If the bag is in very good shape then that’s a good price. When I bought my first classic in the late 80s it was $1,250. Today it retails for $8,800.

Thanks so much for that info!!! I paid for authentication through Dr. Runway and they asked for sharper photos. I asked the reseller for them (he has a shop in Paris) and he was extremely offended that I went to a third party after he told me it was authentic. I've actually never experienced this, maybe because I'm American and possibly the French are insulted when we are skeptical???? So I don't know what to do now because if I buy the bag, it's without a third party to weigh in (but it's so pretty.....).

Hi lovely ladies,

Can anyone please help with identifying this style of Chanel trainers? Does anyone know what they are called or from what season they are from? I’m trying to get my hands on a pair.

TIA

Hello, I saw the bag below on Fashionphile and was thinking is from the 18A Metiers D'Art collection. Can anyone please help with identify the collection it belongs. I want to be sure it is a darker green than what I currently have. Tx

Hi everyone, happy new year!
I am new here!
I need help identifying this bag that I have (passed down from a relative many years back but it doesn’t suit me). I am considering to sell it but im unsure of its value so it’d nice if anyone here could help me out :)
the condition is 9/10 i would say. Serial number is 1150XXXX. Is it considered vintage?

Thank you so much!!!

Love,
Tina

What colour is this handbag?

Not sure but I know that is the “Mademoiselle” bowling bag from spring 2011. You can probably dig up old tpf threads about the mademoiselle bag from that era to see if someone listed the colors. It looks like that was the original line of that style so perhaps there are threads about the launch of that line.
