Nice thread! Love all the eye candy.

Is Guiliana Rancic's ring really a triple split shank? Looks like it could be a single band with two wedding bands on either side...

I do believe it is one piece. I thought she also had a separate matching wedding band that was just a thin micropave. She wears a big honkin eternity with it though instead.

Yesterday, I made a quick stop by the small local jewelry store very close to my house. I tried on the split shank to see how it looks on my finger and I was quite disappointed:shucks:.

I like it looks at certain angle but not straight now (top to bottom). I will upload pics soon.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful ring. Love blinging!:graucho:

May I ask that is the size for the tiny stone? Is that 1.5mm?
thanks, I love me some sparkle as well

of the pave stones? I'm not exactly sure. all together they are .78 ctw I think they are 1 pointers but I don;t know what the mm dimensions of each one are I would guess and say 1mm?

Here is pic for the split shank on my finger.

Okay, I decided to go with just simple single non-split shank.

Could someone help to explain different pave techniques?

For those who has round stone with the cushion setting and has small metal fill in the airline, do you is the metal noticeable and if the dirt trap in easily?

Victor Canera's site shows several styles of pave, Personally I like Fishtail style because the stones are inside the band a little more and less "exposed". I thought he used to have some kind of explanation...

Leon thinks fishtail is crap, essentially, but I disagree with him on this!

Steven Kirsch also had a page explaining but that's down I guess.

Ame, thanks again for info link. I like the fishtail pave too and learning toward it. My end option is the Brigth pave.

I trust your opinion on this stuff, so I hope you don't mind if I jump in and ask a question! :)

How is a happy compromise reached between having a dainty, thin engagement ring band that is also pave? From what I've read, it seems that anything slimmer than 2 mm is prone to structural issues, but at the same time, I LOVE how a slim band flatters a smaller stone.
