Be fun and live it up, get a Spy. I stay away from "classic" bags. Sure the design may last a long time but I doubt I want to carry it forever. I want something new and live "now".

There are so many fake LVs out there. My hubby assumes most of LVs are $10 fakes. I really can't tell the fake from real when I see people carrying them. So I opted not to buy the LV I wanted. Instead I marched into Dior last month and got two new bags.

Bottomline, you choose what you like best. You can probably find a used LV somewhere for a fraction of the price.

I vote for the Spy, but I agree do you want something more trendy or more classic?

Go with the 2 LVs. Something like a spy bag will go away. But with Louis Vuitton, you can't ever go wrong. If you pick LV, then there are lots of decisions to make, Damier or Monogram? Epi or Denim? You get the picture.

Definitely a Spy. If you're getting a Monogram or Damier, remember they are made of canvas. The Spy is full leather.

My personal feeling about LV is that it has come to the point where one cannot tell a real LV from a fake. I also think that even if you have a real LV, and this is just my opinion, it does not make you stand out as an individual, or as wealthy, because so many people carry the same bags. You are just one of many. The Spy is a trendy bag, but I myself am considering adding it to my collection because it is very unique in its design, and I will enjoy having it in the future as well. If not, I can sell it on ebay for a small loss. (Perhaps LV is also re-sellable close to retail, I am not sure?) I think it is interesting that you picked the Fendi Spy and LV... very different choices in my mind. One is, as everyone says, very "of the moment" while the other is more mainstream and I suppose, timeless. You should get the bag that suits your needs the most. Small or large? Jeans or dresses? What you wear and what you do are important to consider.

my answer is simple - get 2 LV pieces! get one LV bag for SUMMER and one for WINTER... i dont know if you have seasonal bags... but thats just an idea for ya to think about... good luck!!!
