Hi Ladies,

You are all so knowledgeable and have such great taste, I want your opinions/ideas.

I am having my friend (jeweler) make a setting similar to whats in my avatar for my ering. Now I am starting to think of what type wedding band to get. What do you think would look best with that setting? I am not big into jewerly, just wear my watch, diamond studs and ering so I am pretty clue less about this. Do you think it would be odd to have a thicker diamond band? Cant wait to hear your responses. Thanks!

I think that something the same width and shape as the band on your engagement ring would look great. I think diamonds set in (similar to your ering band) would look great too. I prefer uniformity though. Maybe your friend has a few for you to try on with your ring, or you could go to jewelry stores to try a few out. I think you will know what you like when you see it. :D

Are you into matchy wedding sets, or do you prefer non-matchy?

If you want them to match, have the same jeweler make you a matching wedding band. (You may want to think about putting a tiny spacer band in between them if both are 3-sided pave--I can't tell if the one in your avatar is 3-sided or not--so they don't damage each other.)

If you want non-matchy, I'd suggest you go try on as many bands as possible to see what you like best. I couldn't find anything I liked with my engagement ring until a Tiffany SA convinced me to try on the Jazz band. Once I saw the two together, I knew I wanted my set to look like that.

Congrats OP!

The ring on your avatar is my dream ering...!!

I agree with the above comments, the wedding ring with the same diamond settings (and same width) would be GORGEOUS!

Good Luck in finding your PERFECT wedding band!

totally agree with aliceanna above. i myself would get a matching band. also would get the thin spacer band since your band looks three-sided and i hear diamonds shouldn't rub against each other.

I would go try on bands and see what looks good. I agree with others that I would probably go with an exact match...and a spacer if you need it. If you want to mix it up a bit, you could alternate white diamond with fancy colored diamond.

I agree, I have always thought to get a matching one but someone told me that would be too much and I got me thinking?

I would get a diamond band that matches the diamonds on the setting... But SteadyRiot is right, once you try it on, you'll know. :smile1:
Let us know what you choose!

I agree, I think Ill ask her what she has and hopefully she will have some suggestions as well.

Thanks, I think I am leaning towards matching... ill have to look into the spacer because yes it is 3 sided.

Thanks, I think so too! :graucho:

Id get an exact match, myself.

I think thats what I am leaning towards ame... like I mentioned above, someone told me that would be too much so it threw me off. I dont think you can really ever have too much when it comes to diamonds. :p

I have never seen spacers IRL... are they noticeable when you wear the ring?

Thats a thought, I never really considered any colored diamonds.

Thanks everyone for your imput!

Heres the setting in a larger pic.

Dell: do you have a pic of what an ascher cut band would look like?

Frankly, two pave' bands could never be too much, but I also agree with the above poster who mentioned a spacer. Though your jeweler could build out the bottom of the rings a little to allow a natural plain spacer.

If you were to go through Leon, who might have made the ring (if not WF) he would not be keen on a matching band as the artiste does not "allow" one to wear a band next to his creation.

Beautiful e-ring. I think a plain band (which allows the e-ring to sparkle the most) or an eternity band with brilliant and asscher cuts combined would be very cool. But I prefer non matchy matchy. You cannot go wrong with a matching band but I guess a different looking band would be really exciting!!
