I went to a Mon Purse popup and wasn't impressed with the overall quality. It was just average. While the customization is fun, the leather was mediocre.

Mackage. I am not 100% sure if this is SHW but every Mackage bag I’ve ever seen IRL is SHW. Also not sure if the strap is long enough to be crossbody.

Thanks for the suggestions. And I love the AW Marion too! It's the best in terms of size and shape. The height and width are small enough so that it doesn't seem to take up room visually when worn, but the depth is a roomy 4" which will allow me to carry my essentials comfortably.
The only reason I haven't bought it is that it's edgy. And I will be wearing this bag with a variety of looks. So I need the bag to be more neutral.

How about the Tory Burch T Satchel. My sister in law has this exact purse and its gorgeous, practical, and very roomy.View attachment 3756967

This is much to large for this use. BUT, I love it!!! This is the perfect work bag. I'm going to investigate this bag for that purpose. Thanks for sharing!!

I love both of these!!!! I just am so frustrated. The Medium Bianca is a little too big and the Small Ryder is a little to small. I feel a bit like Goldilocks when I looked at these bags. LOL! But they are the perfect look for what I want for this bag. Quiet and simple. But still a little style.

I saw some possibilities when I was browsing the Farfetch sale from Balmain, McQueen, and Tod's. The Lanvin Nomad also comes to mind. These might be slightly above your price range, though.

Probably so. This bag will be knocked about so I don't want to spend much on it at all. This is the kind of bag I may pull out for a super casual "regular" day but it will really be my go to bag for things like picking up landscaping supplies, helping someone move, etc.

I like this: 3.1 Phillip Lim Soleil Mini Bucket Bag. The size is perfect. And they are on sale under $500. I also like that the open top allows me to carry a water bottle - peeking out of the top - if I choose. (I liked that about the mini Hamilton tote.) But I wonder if on a regular basis I will find it too open??
