Thank you for your input. I think the reason I struggle to be a bracelet person is because the only bracelet that I currently own is the one with a clasp and I find it so difficult to put on and off - it takes away precious minutes when getting dressed. But its an heirloom piece passed down from my mother, so I absolute love it. See image attached. It is in 21ct gold and is quite chunky which i adore, and I was hoping to stack it with JUC. I do have a few necklaces, and I do wear them often stacked. But ofcourse pearl necklace is a statement look on its own without the need for stacking.
Issue is, I definitely wear necklaces > bracelet.
The bracelet passed down from your mother is beautiful. You also have gorgeous hands! I understand what you mean about it being difficult to put on. The pearls might be a nice remembrance of this trip and then you can add the JUC later? I'm excited to see what you decide!

The woman I knew who wore her pearls daily often stacked the strand with other necklaces and I loved the look. Her pearl strand was the longest - probably 20” or so - and she wore 1 or 2 shorter necklaces in yellow gold. It looked great! (And this chat might result in my dusting off my old pearls!)

Thank you so much for your kind words. I got the widest smile reading what you wrote. 💕 I'll definitely share what I score in Japan.

Omg!! thank you so much for such a great idea.🥳 I had been envisioning my necklace with larger pearls 8+ mm. But now that you mention stacking necklaces, that could work so well if I just buy a more versatile size. I'll definitely try on a few and see which one is more wearable.

Are you thinking about white or colored pearls ( grey or gold etc)?

If you have the time, I'd pop into Cartier first to see if they have a JUC in your size in stock. Try it on, take some photos, don't buy. Then head to Mikimoto (are you going to the Pearl Island?) and see if there is anything that grabs you. If yes, great! If not, head back to Cartier.
I might just do exactly that! My husband isn't patient when it comes to shopping so I'll get him occupied with an activity.

Hi all, I would really appreciate your input and any insight into making this decision.
This is probably the silliest 'help me decide' post as the items are apples and oranges. I have a limited budget as I purchased a watch earlier this year. However, I would like to check off one item from my wishlist during my upcoming trip to Japan.
I have wanted the regular Juste un clou bracelet in yellow gold for years now. I think crazy popularity and major price jumps kept deterring me. Now I'm back to wanting it.
The second item in question is a Mikimoto pearl strand. I adore pearls and Mikimoto in Japan is an ideal place to fulfil this wish. I think the stand I'm after will be roughly the same price as the bracelet.
How do I decide? Cartier price increase is inevitable and I am pretty sure it's my last chance to buy but a Mikimoto strand will be a classic. Do you think the juste un clou will age beautifully?
For reference, I'm neither a necklace or a bracelet person. I usually wear a watch and multiple stacked rings and earrings of course.
I will be very grateful for your help.
Personally, I never make wish lists for jewelry. When I see it and absolutely LOVE it without the slightest doubt, I go for it. I avoid trendy, popular jewelry like the plague, so the JUC bracelet would be out.

You wrote you are neither a necklace nor bracelet person. Why not buy beautiful pearl earrings on your trip? A bonus is that they may cost a lot less than a pearl necklace and you might find a very interesting earring design.

I would go for the JUC! Since you say you want it for years, I don’t think you will just stop wanting it. The JUC is also hardier than pearls.

I would get the JUC like I said in a previous comment, but would not stack with this bracelet.

I need help deciding between these two watches. The panthere medium in two tone or the small in steel with diamonds. I love them both - the steel u love slightly more but is it a really silly purshase for the money? The regular small steel is like a quarter of the price of this one but I do love if

I love a two tone in a watch and Panthere is no expection. It's easier to style, can be dressed up or down.
I have an all steel watch from Cartier and i regret not getting the full gold or two toned one. Good luck!

Your skin looks neutral to me—you pull off both gold and white metals equally well! I’m actually loving the small with diamonds more on you!
