Please help me decide - studds or ring

  • 2.5 per ear (5 TCW) round diamond studs + simple diamond band

  • 5.5 asscher solitaire diamond ring + .5 per ear (1 TCW) asscher studs

I would choose option 1 if saying that options 1 and 2 equate to about the same price. That would mean to say that the 5.5 ring would not be in the same quality as the 2.5 each studs. And I would want the best quality for a ring which I would see daily. I made a big mistake in compromising on a ring before and regretted it. Unless of course the 5.5 is the same quality as the 2.5 cters. :)

Why not both. Then you'll never have to think about a other diamond again in your life! We are at 10 years and I am contemplating (DH's idea) studs of 2 ct each or (fancy yellow or radiant f side stones to add to my) 2.25 radiant cut, which BTW would be kick ***!!

Ideas?? TYIA!!

They were an impulse purchase!!

They are LV "Over the Rainbow" earrings in "periwinkle". They have them in Orange too! I LVOE, LVOE, LVOE them and wear the almost daily!! The were about $550 (US)

They have a matching necklace but I didn't like it. It had too many of the Swarovski crystals on it. If it had less crystals it would've looked much more elegant. To me it was over-the-top so I didn't get it.

I agree with you. I'm not a big ring person, but, I love earrings.
My friend have a pair of pear shape diamond earrings 1.5 TCW and they are truly beautiful.
However, I love seeing round stones for diamond studs due to how classic they look.

You know, I'm reminded of *dare I say* Oprah Winfrey. I think at one point in time Oprah was wearing a simple ring with gorgeous studs. It looked like effortless class. I'm not saying a nice solitaire ring is garish, but there is something to be said for the simplicity of nice studs.
