Hello beautiful ladies!
I desperately need your help in choosing the perfect necklace from Cartier to wear 24/7. About me: I’m in my early thirties, work from home, but travel quite a lot. I narrowed my choices to 2 necklaces: Clash necklace in small size and Love necklace with 2 diamonds in YG. I plan to wear the necklace 24/7, take showers with it, sleep with it, work out with it, so pretty much never take it off. This will be the only necklace that I wear, I don’t plan to layer it.

Pros of Clash necklace:
- unique intricate design
- really beautiful chain with little shiny dots
- beautiful Cartier tag on the end of the chain (although almost no one will see it since it’s on the back of my neck)
- shows no scratches

Cons of Clash necklace:
- the pendant is pretty heavy, and the chain is really delicate (I love the look of the chain, but am afraid for its sturdiness in the long run)
- I’m a little bit afraid that I will get tired of the design of the necklace as the time goes
- the necklace is in RG (normally I prefer YG or platinum for my jewelry)

Pros of Love necklace:
- recognisable classic design
- much lighter than Clash necklace
- double chain seems stronger for everyday wear
- has 2 diamonds (though pretty tiny ones)
- available in YG

Cons of Love necklace:
- pretty generic (although classic) desing, not so unique as Clash
- double chains may tangle
- little diamond on the chain always twists
- the pendant will show scratches
- I’m not a fan of the part of the necklace where the chain isn’t attached to the pendant, but rather just looped around it, I suppose it will scratch the pendant

I don’t have a lot of jewellery, so this necklace will be my only one. I plan to wear it for a very very long time.

I would really appreciate your opinions and thoughts on these necklaces. Which one would be more suitable for my lifestyle? Which one do you like the most? TIA! 3CA3DD6E-54A5-4BAB-9F69-B717039DA919.jpeg5A7A2BD3-5798-47AD-8638-DEC332FE9ABE.jpeg

My favorite is definitely the LOVE 2-diamond necklace. Because I have it lol. I wear it everyday, but not 24/7. Mainly because it's like a choker for me because my neck is larger, so it would be too uncomfortable and too tight to wear 24/7, but I definitely put it on everyday. I get compliments on it all the time. I also wear it with my everyday 24/7 Star of David/Hamsa necklace (even though it's longer) and just so you know, the 2 chains never tangle. And it doesn't really show scratches because it's much smaller than it looks online. Hope that helps with your decision.

Not a fan of the Clash necklace.

I am the opposite of @Mid Century Gal lol. I :hugs: love the clash. to me, it’s very recognizably cartier, but a little under the radar for those who don’t know (which is appealing). You mentioned that you are in your thirties. I am 54 and think the clash would age well as an everyday piece provided one loves the design.

JMO, I personally think the other necklace is a bit generic bc I’ve seen it relatively often, and I’m not fond of the written logo. Both @Mid Century Gal and @GucciObsessed do mention that the love is a lot smaller in person than it appears on line. To me, that’s a strong negative. The love also has quite a bit of negative space and it’s diamond accents are very dainty. I don’t layer, and I prefer a more solid piece. so it’s just not my personality.

I don’t own any cartier chain necklace (I prefer larger chunkier pieces), but I would guess the chain strength is comparable to Bulgari or VCA. These chains look delicate but are quite sturdy. However, I haven’t tried a cartier chain necklace on, so I don’t know for certain. One last point, one tends to acclimate quickly to the weight of jewelry; if you are uncertain, you might try on a necklace of comparable weight to see if you wear it comfortably.

i don’t wear any piece of jewelry 24/7. I have heard of RG turning yellow based on skin chemistry PH Specifically with respect to cartier. This would not necessarily be a deal breaker for me bc I like a yellow gold for maximum contrast, but I would want to check this out. Perhaps check the forum if there is a clash thread with opinions on that using the search feature or wait for someone else to chime in.

I have the 2 diamond love. I personally don’t mind your cons, but it’s all preference. I don’t wear it everyday, as I somehow think it doesn’t look super casual? My mother in law has the clash. It’s definitely a cool design! She also doesn’t wear hers daily.

I feel like I’m not being any help, so here is a photo. It’s really a feminine and delicate look. I like it a lot. I tried on the regular love pendant and the size was too overpowering for me.

Ladies, thank you so much for you opinions and beautiful photos!
Unfortunately I didn’t have the chance to try these necklaces since there is no Cartier in my country I will ask a girl friend to buy me one when she goes on vacation next month.

The necklace looks absolutely gorgeous on you! Thanks for sharing the picture!

I like it very much! But I’m not sure if I’d sleep in it..I’m afraid it would get tangled in my hair! Have you looked at VCA? I’ve considered getting a single pendant for everyday use, just not sure which one I want yet!

I really like VCA on others, but don’t like it on me. Flowers and butterflies are not really my style, I prefer more industrial pieces. And I would be totally afraid to wear those gemstones 24/7 (although I know a lot of people do it with zero issues)
