Please help me choose between red Chanel or Dior?

I have the same Chanel bags as you do and the mini. I am also dangerously close to buying the My Lady Dior in gray (either that or the Hermes Evelyne). I've tried the Dior on in the boutique and I also have a medium lamb Lady Dior.

Dior's lamb is so luxurious and durable. My medium has literally fallen on to the hard concrete floor and there wasn't a single scratch!! I've had it for a couple years now and it looks brand new. I'm so impressed with the quality that I'm considering adding the My Lady Dior even though I had no intention of repeating this style. But the struggle is real lol.

In terms of capacity, the mini is definitely smaller. I can fit a card holder, key pouch, lipstick, small tissue pack, phone and I can squeeze my sunglasses on top. The Dior will hold that and a small wallet and something else. I know some people will fit more into their minis but I don't like overstuffing my bags. So it depends on how much space you need for your necessities.

I like the versatility of the Dior more too. I know some people use the mini for cocktail dresses but I like it more for day. The Dior looks dressier to me but since it has the crossbody strap it can also be casual.

I think I saw your thread, I like Evelyn too, tough choice :). I agree with you that Dior is dressier, and that's what I like about it. Thank you and good luck deciding to you too!

I like the strap and light gold hw on MLD too. I sent my mini back. Now I have to decide on color for Dior [emoji28]
They have bright red with old pins and scarlet red with new pins. But I like darker scarlet red and old pins :D

I forgot to mention that old pins are not compatible with new bags, scarlet red is one of them :)

Actually yes I think I read that on the Dior forum but didn't pay too much attention as I would be getting the older bag if did get one. That's a shame isn't it :confused1:

Yes, it is. And no one knows if Dior decides to add more pins, are they going to be new style or old.

IMG_0912.JPG I tried on one they call rouge vif - it looks quite bright so I guess it would be the right red?
Does the MLD currently come in the darker scarlet red?
Here's a picture of me trying on the bright red.
