First congrat on the enagement, I love the ring. I think it´s really modern to mix metal these days. I think it looks great. I like the nail polish too. If it bothers you, you can always through in a two tone ring or bracelet to pull it more together, David Yurman makes nice ones.

Truthfully, I never really noticed a problem with the matching metals until 2 people at my work where like "oooohhhh you need a silver watch now! yuck!!" that's when I was like.. maybe there is something wrong with this!! but I think you guys have totaly made me feel better, and I'll just wear each peice because I love it, not because I "shouldn't" according to some people! Although, this would be the perfect exuse for a new watch!! baaahahahaha ahahah :graucho:

IMO the people at your work subscribe to the rather dated impression that you can only wear white metal with other white metals and they might also feel that white still shouldn't be worn after Labor Day :laugh:

It is really strange - I admire mixed metals on everyone else. But on me - it bothers me. I have to mix though cause I have some stainless watches, platinum e-ring and eternity band and I'm 100% decided on the yellow gold Love Cartier bracelet. I know it'll be fine. Like someone else said, maybe a 2-tone item will tie it all in!

Oh that is super funny I am lmao right now!! hopefully none of the ladies I work with are on tpf, because I do have my a pic for my avtar.. but, now that you mention it, their opinions and style/choice of dress & jewelry are all quite dated LOL your post really made me laugh and feel better! fortunately most of us are in scrubs so there's not too much judging going on. love your post!:graucho:
