Oh hi there.
I also booked my flight and hotel last week of September but mostly clinics will be closed for Korean thanksgiving.
Did you book with your clinic yet?
I went to consult with Dr park n 365mc for calf reduction but they said I cant do it.
I had botox injected at view instead and now have sharp pain from time to time.
Keep us posted with pics if you can ;)
I know many girls in my group who dream to have this procedure done.
Good luck

Hello. I saw some of your previous posts. You said that you had a consultation with Dr. Park and 365mc for calf reduction but they said you cant do it. Can you please tell me the reason why? As well, why did you choose these two clinics for calf reduction?

I recently had a consultation with 365mc and they recommended me for calf nerve block. Is that the same as what you were trying to get? Also, which clinic is Dr. Park from?

Sorry for so many questions but I'm only here in Korea for a short period of time. Please reply asap. Thank you very much!

Hi guys,

So I actually had my calves done at Dr. Park in Seoul!! Yayyy! I had the surgery yesterday at 10am, and they had me stay a night over at their clinic. Too be honest the surgery wasn't that painful at all! Actually, it hurt a lot AFTER the surgery when my painkillers wore off - I was literally begging for meds and the really nice and attentive nurse, Amy, was there to help me. After they gave me my meds I was able to fall asleep. Surgery ended at 2:30pm I think.. cause I looked at the clock and I think it was 2:30pm... anyways I finally woke up at 10pm... and the pain was gone! Like the excruciating pain was gone.. but I was left with pain like stretching of the muscle.. and up until now the muscle-stretching pain is still there... I think its gonna take a while until this pain dissipates. Anyways, this morning they unwrapped my bandages to change the dressing and I was able to see my legs.. wow they look really good.. a lot slimmer than before.. but there is some swelling... anyways as for walking.. god.. thats a pain in the ***.. I have to walk as if there is something stuck up my *** LOL. So I am staying at the JW Marriot, and there is a Starbucks across from it, but I need to cross two crosswalks (though its short), and you don't know how many funny looks I get for me walking like a granny.. LOL. Anyways I am on Day 2... and it's not really that painful.. I mean maybe cause I can just tolerate it better? I don't know. Oh ya, I am also doing 3-5min stretches every hour and thats a pain in the *** too.. it hurts a lot but only for like 40 seconds if you can hold out that long ;)

Update: So, actually there is quite a lot of pain.. I don't know why I said earlier that the pain is easy to handle... ughhh its hurts! Especially when Ive been lying on the bed for sometime and then need to get up and use the toilet. The meds they gave me to take home makes me pee like twice every hour! Do you know how much walking that is for me? = = Anyways, getting up and walking to the bathroom really hurts.. so I always make sure I get up and do some stretches as this will help alleviate the pain from walking. I really hope the pain goes away soon.

I haven't emailed or had any communication nor first hand experience with Wonjin so this is only based on what I've found during my research. But based on what I have found, I would highly suggest you not going there. I'll provide you with links I've found:

1. User WishingStar posted her experience on this thread #880. She got eyelid surgery and well... you should just read it.

http://www.pchmeetings.com/docs/con...ics-korea-read-1st-post-before-864175-59.html

2. Miyake posted on her Facebook that a Korean patient died after a face surgery. Apparently it's well known that shadow doctors are common there and the doctor you have the consultation with is not the same doctor that performs surgery on you and you probably won't even know who the doctor that performed surgery on you is. Anyway, you can read her post here:

https://www.facebook.com/ngmiyake/posts/608343722627810

3. This article basically says Wonjin ruined a Chinese foreigner's face.

http://www.china.org.cn/china/2015-03/25/content_35148327.htm

Anyway, just do your research. Even if people are saying these things, no one can be absolutely sure how true it is as things you read online are often fabricated, exaggerated or just subjective. As for me, I'm definitely staying away from them.
Yes I agree totally. I heard the Korea government will issue license to clinic. To approve the use of "shadow" doctors. This is legal If they obtain their license. Plastic surgery is a big piece of profit, they need to give young doctors an opportunity to perform "training" and this will feed the demand of nurturing new doctors and expanding more and more plastic surgery clinics.

So if you have decided to go for ps, be sure to pray you are the lucky one.....

i'm going to korea in mid-october, and have all my consultations scheduled, so i figured now is a good time to register here after a long while of just reading up on everyone's experiences! you all are great, i've learned a lot and feel far more prepared than before thanks to this forum. plus i've got a friend coming with me as well, which is a huge bonus!!

so i've got consultations with JK and TLPS on the 20th, and i wanted to check in here because everyone's so helpful and friendly, and just knowing there are others in korea at the same time as me is reassuring :) can anyone speak to the quality of lipo procedures done by JK and TL? lipo is my primary goal in seeing these clinics and i like their B&As and the responses i got from the email exchanges i had, but i'd still like to hear more from people here if possible!

also, for a double chin, is the power-v lipo strictly necessary? it's what TLPS recommended to me when i asked about it as an area for lipo but everything i've read here seems to indicate that power-v is about lipo for the cheeks and getting that v line that is really in fashion in korea right now. i honestly love my cheeks and hope they stay chipmunky for many years to come since they're why i look a decade younger than i actually am. it's really only under my chin and my neck that i'm dissatisfied with.

Has anyone tried to do surgeries at two different clinics before ? Is it viable ? I am thinking of having facial contouring surgery at banobagi w dr oh and rhinoplasty at april31. Is it advisable to do this ?

This is a tough one.

I think it may be possible and both of them will probably tell you it's possible (and to do the first surgery at their clinic first!) but in reality this probably wouldnt work well unless you had a few weeks between each surgery.

I doubt either clinic would be too happy to operate on you the next day or anything.

Also, Particularly for the surheries you are talking about - recovering from both of those at once would be a bit of a nightmare as you won't be able to breathe properly through your mouth or nose. People do them together though, so physically it is possible. Having done both at different times myself I literally cannot fathom how people combine them though. The only thing I had going in my favour after vline was that my nose way was free!! Hehe

I've not heard of people doing them together at different surgeries either but again, it may be theoretically possible

Hello!

I'm new to this forum! And I have been doing a lot of research on getting facial contouring and cheek reduction done. And I still have been undecided to which clinic I would choose because that I have heard from post on these forums that some clinics will do a unsatisfactory job and people are unhappy of their new looks. I have been looking at banogani, tlsp, Cinderella, regen, jk, the line, da, Id, grand, bk, jw. But every time I choose one I end up changing my mind because I've read posts on here of some clinic messing up and I really don't want that and would rather have a first try done with. Any help would be nice. Thank you. Also I am a male located in the U.S.

If you are looking for a clinic with a perfect track record you will not find it.

Don't focus too much on the reviews. Instead, look at the various doctor's methodology for the procedues you want and their experience with it.

Then research as much as you can about the particular surgical methodology - benefits, downsides, potential complications etc so you know what you are in for.

That's what I'm doing also but it is just essentially hard to decide even with a well know doctor from bad reviews on this forum. Some say that so and so doctor is good and some say that same doctor messed up. So it's just very hard for me to decide. x.

It can be really hard, I know. Especially when so many people on forums like this have their own agenda that they are pushing.

I think meeting with the doctors in person and having them describe their methodology and how they will operate on you specifically is crucial. Most xlinics have english translators on hand so you don't absolutely need Korean:)
