Men's Carrera simply because it's automatic. That's a deal breaker for me now. I wouldn't consider one that isn't mechanical.
I have the women's 32 Carrera automatic in diamonds but the best thing about it for me is the craftsmanship of the movements. Yes it's not a Panerai or even Omega, but there is something beautiful about wearing that level of detail hidden on your wrist. Also, my 2000 Series from 1996 keeps the time better and doesn't run out of reserves, but it is no where near it in terms if usage. I think unfortunately they've discontinued the women's automatic version?
And I think you can carry the bigger mens watch face. I don't think it's too big at all - it's fitting you JUST right because you're wearing the watch and you said you're already used to big ones. Good luck!
