I always wanted to post about my current vintage designer bag obsession! I must say though, that my CHANELs are my FAV!!
It all started when I graduated from grad school in 2012. My present to myself (and with help from the hubby) was to get a Chanel flap bag, a new purchase. However, after waiting months on several waiting lists, I saw my friend with a vintage Chanel that looked amazing!
So, instead of ONE new one, I ended up with TWO flap bags (for a cheaper price!)
This past summer for my birthday/anniversary, I got a Chanel Tote.
I've been sticking with classic black, probably because I live in nyc, and I'm always worried about getting bags dirty. I just LOVE vintage Chanel, truly top quality. I also stick with traditional styles, because they are totally feminine and classic. I tend to be tomboyish so having this arm candy/bling works wonders!
For reference, I'm 5'8"
1. All three of ma bebez
2. Jumbo flap. 12" x 9" lambskin ghw. I wear this on weekends generally (helpful for sneaking treats into the theater!). And I love the strap! Double or single! Beautiful plumpy leather.
3. Mini flap. 8" x 6" lambskin ghw. I tend to bring this on trips. I LOVE this little one. The leather is so supple.
4. Petite Tote. 10" x 7" caviar ghw. This is more of a work bag, and to me seems less flashy. To be honest, having caviar leather makes me realize how much I looove lambskin. I hear that vintage lambskins are more durable than todays also!
Anyway, I hope to add more to this small collection over the years!

This is the vintage chanel my mother in law gave me as a christmas present. She has owned it for years and years! Maybe pre 80s as it has no serial number. Haven't found any similar model online yet.
