I've looked at lots of reviews and reveals of bigger (and well, way fancier) bags on here so I thought I would do a short review of my new bag, the Peyton Bennett Mini Satchel.

I'm not a large person (under 5'4") and have found as I age I can't quite carry the bags I used to that were larger or heavier due to shoulder and neck problems so when I saw this bag, I wanted to give it a try.

On the plus side, it actually fits a lot more than I thought it would at 9.5x6.5x4.5 with room to spare. It also does a good job of not getting in my way when I am wearing it. Plus, the coated canvas should be really easy to care for and durable. Love the leather trim on it too!

The only downside I have found on this bag is the thin shoulder strap, and the fact you can't remove it. It would have been nice if I'd had the option to just carry it as a satchel. Sometimes a think strap can dig in to the shoulder and for someone like me with neck and shoulder issues, a wider or removable long strap would have been great.

Thanks Mariquel! The strap is actually not flimsy at all, just narrow. I'll see if I can take a pic of it compared to some other straps. It's thicker and hangs and folds well, I just wish it was wider. :)

I love the bag too and like you...I like to carry a lighter load these days. LOL It looks great on you.

I would have preferred a wider and removable shoulder strap too.
