Petite-ish and Burberry Trench...

I suggested this because I wear a lot of 12/14 size designer kids clothes. I have narrow shoulders, a high waist and am small boned 5'1. French, Italian and Spanish kids brands seem to fit me, Armani to Dior. Have been buying since I was 25 and am now 52. Good luck with your trench hunt!

Omg there's also TEEN Burberry!! This is looking really hopeful.
Yay! Thank you for the great blog Link you provided! Since it seems youre similar build to the blogger then you only need minimal tailoring to look great!

Also love photo of @periogirl28 and agree that mid length trench is the most flattering favorite length! (I sadly tend to buy for my imaginary self that believes she is five inches taller  and have figure issues neither of you have: bigger shoulder cap, longer lower waist etc. . . Funnily enough, I’ve also been buying RTW from almost the same years: age 25-52; I’ll be 53 soon and I remember burberry prosrum and before :D

Fingers crossed that you can go for it! Cannot wait to see your modeling shots!

Kids’ trenches appear to be more boxy in size 14 and a bit short in size 12, so I’ve always gotten adult sizes. I’m 5’1”. I have bought a few items from the kids section though, mostly the cashmere sweaters.

Mmm that's really good to know, about the shortening. Thank you. Burberry's HQ customer service kept reassuring me to just order a coat and that alterations are free within 3 weeks or something, and @extrapetite (Jean Wang) also blogged that she did an alteration, so I thought it was a good fallback option, just a bit more legwork for me. I will definitely keep the children's options in mind and I hope that my local boutique (Soho) stocks children's. If not, I know Farfetch does and I can always return. Again, just a bit more legwork, which is annoying.
I wanted to note, that extra petite own at least two Burberry trench coats. One is the one you said was altered, it was from befoe Burberry revamped their trench coat range and it was of a looser fit so she has slimming alterations done. She didn't alter the other trenches she tried on in this article though! Your main concern is probably where the belt loops lie and that's why you'd consider the children's or teens range. But I'd also reccomend trying their chelsea range, since it fits so well on Extra petite without alterations, I'd also like to note that generally, childrens' version of clothing items tend to be less curvy as well. Just a thought! There's going to be a lot of sales going on (I believe mytheresa just had one, there will probably be more), so it's a great occasion to buy a heritage trench on a discount!

I ended up buying an adult 0 from a past season off someone else, and the sizing is perfect (actually a bit on the narrow side if I'm being honest) on my petite frame! I didn't need to go the kids or teens route hehe. View attachment 4877569
ooooh sorry i missed this post! It looks great on your and I'm so glad an adult 0 worked out well for you without needing to look into the kids range!
