That’s what I think too. I think my wrists look like sausage wrists with the medium, like it moves… But only moves past my wrist bone and stops an inch before that. It’s a huge financial lesson but honestly, it’s best to just do it so I can be happy with the look.Hi! For me, yes, it is definitely too tight. It's not just about how it feels on you, but it's also about how it looks when worn.
I personally think bangles that are too tight makes the wrist look chunkier than it is (e.g. sausage wrists), and that's a big negative to me. The Large YG Clover looks much more gorgeous and elegant on your wrist as there is more room.
Plus, the medium doesn't move, and these bangles when worn together, need to be side by side.
I would sell it and buy a Large. I would not "live with it."
I also want to add...
Jewelry is all about aesthetics of the pieces worn together, and a big no for me is two of the same bangle worn together but fit differently. Your two Clovers should be the same size, and the YG and WG together in different sizes looks off to me. It takes away from the beauty of these two pieces worn together and looks a bit like it was thrown together vs. a cohesive set. That's just me, but I'm the type that eyeballs everything for precision placement.
I often buy repeats of the same bracelet to wear together to create a bolder look. With this aesthetic, the bangles need to fit exactly, as if it were deliberate.
I vote to get this tight fitting bangle out of your mind... sell the Medium, buy the Large, and get that ear to ear grin on your face! You will be so glad you did. Jewelry is too gorgeous to be stressed thinking about it when you wear it. There is no luxury joy in that at all.
I have made mistakes in the past, and to get it out of my mind, I get rid of the object and buy a new one.
What mistake? I don't see a mistake. Out of my mind! Mistake gone!![]()
Just my two cents, and I hope this helps. Good luck!
Yes, I agree with you... sausage wrist for sure. Selling the bangle is best. That’s what I think too. During this summer it’s become something else! I’ve already consigned my other medium sized pieces but this one is just harder to let go of as I love it so much.
Do you have any advice on selling? If so, I’d appreciate that.
I agree, it is so sausage wrist. I looked at my wedding photos and cringed because my wrists look like when women wear strappy heels which are too tight 😓Yes, I agree with you... sausage wrist for sure. Selling the bangle is best.
Don't beat yourself up over this. Once you get a new bangle, you will be so so so glad you sold it. You will never stress over this again.
The money you lose from selling the bangle will soon be forgotten, and the amount lost is a drop in the bucket in the whole scope of life. In its place, you will have a gorgeous new bangle that fits and looks amazing on you.
On selling, if it were me, for this Clover bangle, assuming you live in a city where there is demand for luxury goods, I would try a local jewelry estate sellers and get a price. Lower priced items such as pendants and bracelets are easier to sell online (e.g. Fashionphile) due to the price point. However, my guess is for those who are looking to buy a Clover bangle, saving a few thousand is not an issue, and some may just want to pay full price to get a brand new one from the boutique. Hence, I think it might be easier to offload the bangle to a local store who has walk-in clients that can inspect the bracelet live.
Maybe get a price from Fashionphile (or equivalent online vendor) as well as a local jeweler boutique that also sells estate.
A bit more insight on checking with local jewelers...
Jewelers are all now getting into selling estate pieces. It's the next big wave. Why?
Because Baby Boomers are getting older, and they are passing on their jewelry to the next generation(s). The next generation(s) often does not have the same taste. My local jeweler told me they have ladies come in all the time to sell pieces they received from mom or grandma, the ladies want the cash to purchase something new they love "in honor/memory of mom/grandma". Some jewelers would love to have a branded VCA or Cartier piece in their "estate" section as it gives them relevance. Hence, if where you live has clients who buy luxury brand pieces, I would try a high end local jeweler to see how much you get. It can't hurt.
On selling it outright vs. consigning...
For me, I would sell it outright. Yes, you will get less money, but it will be over and done with. Consigning can drag on. Getting a few more thousand is not worth it for me to have things drag on.
When I sell something, my goal is not to make top dollar. My goal is to get rid of it as quickly as I can so I can move on.
I'm a white metal gal only (e.g. platinum or WG), so I have the WG version. This bangle is just stunning, and the design is true art. It's one of my favorite pieces (Frivole WG pave remains THE favorite however![]()
). You will love wearing both your bangles together once they fit; it will look so glamorous and chic on you!
By the way, speaking of glamorous I know you are @GlamarousBarbie , and I am not sure if the spelling is intentional. If yes, great. If not and it was a typo (glamorous is spelled with an 'o'), if you wish, you can have it updated in TPF to grab it. Just a thought in case it matters to you.
Good luck to you in selling your Clover! And.. congratulations in advance on your new YG Large Clover!![]()
100% agree with this. Either sell or I think you mentioned possible gift to your mom. In that case, if your mom loves it, perhaps she will buy you the right sizeI personally think bangles that are too tight makes the wrist look chunkier than it is (e.g. sausage wrists), and that's a big negative to me. The Large YG Clover looks much more gorgeous and elegant on your wrist as there is more room.

I was going to suggest that you keep it until it is tight and uncomfortable (just to get a buck per wear) but you are already calling your wrist "a sausage" so get rid of the bangle. At a loss, yes, but with a piece of mind.I agree, it is so sausage wrist. I looked at my wedding photos and cringed because my wrists look like when women wear strappy heels which are too tight 😓
I contacted some local jewellers who specialise in designer jewellery and bags (e.g. Hermes, VCA, Cartier) and I'm just waiting on a return on the call right now. I also submitted to Fashionphile and a few other places, just to see. Another option is to consign with AFF but I just don't want to wait and have this drag on because I just want to get a new one ASAP and be happy. I am one of the most impatient people to exist and don't want to wait! I'm currently consigning some other pieces (Pearls of Gold bracelet, etc.) as those are hard to get and more sought after. But, a piece this expensive I've personally always have the mindset of just getting a brand new one from the store so I just expect others to have the same mindset.
I love this bracelet so much, I like it more than the yellow gold and had an expansive WG set of bangles (perlee signature, pearls of gold + perlee clover) but they were too tight and got even after tighter after being put on a medication which causes water retention. I am just disappointed in myself that I put so much money into something which I loved, just for me to sell them because I should have done my due diligence. White gold just has the most beautiful contrast with all skin tones!
Thank you so much for your help, I appreciate it a lot and feel inspired to sell and move on with this whole debacle!
Also, the spelling of my name is intentional, haha. I did it as Glamarous because of RuPaul and that one song he did called Glamazon many years ago, so I decided to combine the two and it ended up as Glamarous.
Unfortunately, it is tight and uncomfortable already. The medication im on + the heat has made is so it is officially tight, which sucks. It's a big loss but... ive also thought about maybe just giving it to a family memberI was going to suggest that you keep it until it is tight and uncomfortable (just to get a buck per wear) but you are already calling your wrist "a sausage" so get rid of the bangle. At a loss, yes, but with a piece of mind.
Selling or gifting is my biggest go to right now, definitely not keeping. I wish my mom would gift me a large, haha - however she would appreciate the gift a lot and she deserves it.100% agree with this. Either sell or I think you mentioned possible gift to your mom. In that case, if your mom loves it, perhaps she will buy you the right size![]()
For consignment, it was 22k after the amount they take and buyouts were… rough hahaHow much would you "lose" if you sold it? What kind of quotes are you getting?
You are a marvelous daughter. I’m sure she will love it!!!I'd decided to gift it to my mom! I wanted to sell it but I love my mommy and decided to gift it to her as an early b-day gift.
I think I will do the same thing for my sister ❤️I'd decided to gift it to my mom! I wanted to sell it but I love my mommy and decided to gift it to her as an early b-day gift.
