Perlee Clover bangle sizing question

Yes, I agree. I think the Clover bangle can stand on its own too. Often times, people wear a bracelet and feel the need to stack because it's lacking presence and needs more pop. Not with the Clover, that bracelet makes a statement on its own.

It's funny you mentioned the cherry blossom earrings. I really like these earrings. With the new Lucky Spring line, this is the only piece I like. I find the other pieces too youthful, or dare I say, childish, for me. My opinion of course, and everyone's taste is different, but I want to share my perspective.

I really like the cherry blossom earrings, and I think it's a great choice! The curve of the flower and the milgrain edge makes it a great match to the clover bracelet. Yes, I know VCA calls the tiny balls "golden beads" (they have the best writers in the marketing dept), but we all know in jewelry speak, it's just a milgrain edge. I love milgrain edges... it provides a nice touch of sophistication to jewelry pieces, and I like the bold milgrain of the cherrry blossom. Yet the flower design and MOP keep it feminine.

I am not crazy about the Perlee earrings either. They are a bit harsh for my taste. The hoop and gold look almost Byzantine to me, and that's not my style. The only other earring I think would be a perfect match are the Vintage Pave Diamond Alhambra earrings. But you already have Alhambra pave, so maybe skip if you don't want to repeat. I do think the RG MOP cherry blossom earrings would bring warmth and elegance to your padparadscha as this stone is a sophisticated stone. Those are just my thoughts of course.

Hope that helps.

Good deal!

I am gonna go ahead with the clover bangle and cherry blossom earring then!

I was not so sure about the earring. But you made a great point about all those details about the flower~

Feeling super excited! The decision made me smile that I know I picked right ones I would not regret.

thanx a million for helping me decide

Which necklace do you think would go with the earring and bangle?

i am thinking maybe a simple diamond solitaire in rose gold or maybe the perlee diamond necklace.

I have the single Vintage alhramra in pave white gold and butterfly in pave white gold already. Trying to avoid getting the same thing. However pink butterfly does make a nice story theme with the cherry blossom earring.

I am also considering rose gold 10 motifs or sweet 16. 10 makes an elegant statement, might not go with the cherry blossom earring. 16: i am planning to double up wearing it short. Down side for both is: it is so close to my skin tone without pave it does not stand out. And I have quite a bit of Alhambra already. Too much might get me tire. ( maybe there is never too much haha)

although perlee diamond pendant is simple, i feel i can wear it for summer days without worrying about taking it off. Wont need it for winter I guess. The design is also a little different than what I already have.

Pink butterfly is almost too pink for me taste. I like it more pale but it makes a nice story theme.

pave rose gold VA is a safe choice. But redundant.

Hi! Here are my thoughts...
I like to match a necklace and earrings, especially as we are talking VCA as their collections are all about matching pieces and adding pieces from the same collection. I think matching earrings and necklace adds a nice elegant polish to any outfit, especially a casual outfit like a striped top & shorts which is my summertime outfit these days. Since you are adding a necklace, for me, I would not get the cherry blossom earrings.

To go with your ring and Clover bangle, I would do these sets:
- RG Frivole pave pendant and RG Frivole Small pave earrings
- RG VA pave earrings and RG VA 10 motif pave necklace or RG VA pave pendant (I agree with you RG hammered Alhambra is probably not the best choice especially if it's so close to your skin tone).
- If you are into SO, I think RG MOP earrings and necklace would be beautifui.

On necklace vs. pendant since you are thinking either, I prefer a necklace (e.g. 10 motif, 20 motif) over a pendant. I think necklaces make more of a statement. Pendants are a bit dainty and kind of fade into the background if that makes sense, which is why people often feel they want to stack pendants, to make it pop. A necklace pops by itself.

I think the Perlee is okay, but it's not my favorite as I think the design is very plain. I've tried it, and to me, it's just a big diamond dot, no artistic design. It reminds me of mall jewelry, you know, that "get a big diamond look with a bunch of tiny pave diamonds" you see in mall diamond jewelry (no offense to mall jewelry, but we are in the VCA forum here). If it were a pave design like Frivole, Lotus, Butterfly that's differerent. That's just me of course.

On solitaire... I think if you are used to wearing 10 motifs and 20 motifs, you will find a solitaire too dainty, and it will definitely just disappear.. Unless dainty is what you want.

Here is a new thought, and this is what I would do which is why I'm bringing this up, so don't get mad at me for suggesting this. I do want to share this view with you....

It seems you are buying a lot of RG just to match a ring.
Rose gold is a trend today. YG and WG/platinum are more enduring in the scope of metal choice for jewelry.
If you love RG and are trying to build up a collection, that makes sense to buy all this RG jewelry.
If you don't really love love love RG but just love this ring, I would reset the ring to WG. I would do this in a heartbeat. Your setting is simple, they can reuse the diamonds and just remake it in WG. Super simple to do.

Also, I think padparadscha sapphires look amazing against white gold as it really makes the pink orange stand out. Google "padparadscha sapphire ring" to see what I am talking about. Your pad sapphire is a light peachy salmon, and I personally thinks the RG competes with the tone of your pad sapphire and takes away from its beauty. Unless of course, your preference is to have the RG blend with your pad sapphire.

You also mentioned RG blends with your skin. If that is the case, I would not build up a RG collection. Add to this RG is a current trend, you may regret all the investment in RG.

So, for me, I would reset the ring to WG, and I would get the Clover bangle in WG. It will then match your other VCA bling. The WG Clover bangle would be gorgeous with your WG VA 10 and 20.

If however, you love RG and are planning to build up a RG collection (not just because you have one ring), then my first choice for earrings and necklace would be the Frivole RG pave set. That set alone is stunning and with a ring, you will just be screaming glamour, casual glamour as the flower motif is very casual and fun. It will also be a nice match with your clover as the clover is heavy on the metal side, but the pave on the Frivole will be a nice balance.
This would also be stunning in WG too! WG and pave diamonds look so blingy!

Whew... that was a long winded answer (sorry about that). I hope it was helpful as you make your decision.

hmmmm!

right to the point! I think I would enjoy necklace a lot more than a tiny pendant. Although I do have a lot of dainty pendants,I rarely wear them. So I should totally skip another dainty pendant.

I have particularly requested this ring to be made in rose gold because of the color tone. The color of the metal brings out the color more. And I am kinda venturing into rose gold ( kinda also because of this ring)

I have not started building my rose gold pieces sooner not because I dont love rose gold, it just takes a lot of effort haha

now i am pretty content about my white gold and yellow gold pieces, maybe it’s time for rose gold.

I have other pink stones set in white gold so for this ring I would keep it rose gold so I got choices to pair with outfits. I do find rose gold goes a lot nicer with my blush pink or white outfits, which i wear a lot in summer.

I dont see VCA have pave rose gold 10 motif. Otherwise it would be a nice match. Or maybe I can use the hammered rose gold 10 motifs and double up with my white gold pave to make it a two tone choker. Wonder if that would be too busy? Haha

I love the frivole line, they only make pendents in rose gold. I love the necklace version more but they only have it in yellow gold.

Also the cherry blossom earrings i have decided to pick up did not seem to go with frivole line necklace.

maybe i do need to SO rose gold necklace of some sort:graucho:

Since you are building a RG collection, more RG for you it shall be!
Starting a new collection is so much fun. I'm so excited to you.

I also do not wear pendants, too dainty. I prefer long necklaces over short/choker length necklaces, and this because I wear a lot of round neck tops. To me, the short necklaces compete with the round neckline, and the necklace never lands in the right space because every top is a bit different. Long necklaces are very easy to wear. You just throw one or two on. It always works and creates a nice casual, carefree look. If you can wear short necklaces, I think a 10 motif looks great too.

By the way, speaking of short necklaces vs long necklaces... sidetrack...
Often times, we think the more bling around the neck, the better. However, there is beauty in the hollow of the neck. The hollow of the neck is so beautiful and feminine, and I think it is highighted especially with a long necklace (e.g. VCA, pearls, etc). The sides of the long necklace almost frame the open neckline. Just my thoughts here.

Since you also do not wear your dainty pendants, skip them. If you buy another one, it will just sit in your jewelry box. So.. skip the RG VA pave pendant and earrings.

Now that you said you want to build your RG collection, yes, I agree, a SO may be at hand to get a perfect set!
If I were building out a RG VCA set, I would get a RG VA MOP earrings and RG MOP 20 motif (10 motif maybe for you). I think this combo would look amazing with your RG clover bangle and your ring. I prefer the 20 motif. Note though, VCA is limiting non-preapproved SOs (e.g. you can still SO, but you have to choose from a preapproved list of SO combos). I am not familar with SO choices in RG, but you may want to ask your SA. I would think RG in MOP would be approved as MOP is a classic stone. Plus, they already have a watch in RG MOP. Pearls come in basically three overtones, rose, cream, and silver. I am sure you know this, but VCA uses different pearl overtones to match the metal, as they should. For WG, the MOP overtone is silver, and for YG, the MOP overtone is mostly cream. I have not looked at a RG MOP piece in real life, but my guess is the pearl overtone will be rose which is what I see in the photo of the watch. I love pearls with a rose overtone. That subtle pinky glow is just beautiful to me. A RG MOP necklace would be very pretty.

If you want to buy something in their current inventory, the choices are limited as you know. If I had to choose from what is available, I would choose the RG VA pave earrings and the RG GMOP pave 20 motif. You're probably wondering why I did not select RG VA hammered gold.

I know you mentioned the RG just blends with your skin. However, aside from skin tone, here are other thoughts:
- Metal-only chains are not artistic fine jewelry to me. I also think an all metal chain creates a harsh look if that makes sense (e.g. it's just metal), not really elegant at all in my opinion. I think the beauty of VCA Alhambra is the stone. Plus, I think the hammered gold makes it looks Byzantine (e.g. harsh) to me, hence I am not interested in that design at all. That's just me. Of course, some people love "all-gold" jewelry, so it's preference.
- I think the GMOP would be a nice pop of color and complement your other ring and cover bangle. GMOP is not super dark. I am sure you've seen it in real life, but it is a soft pop of color, iridescent, very wearable all the time. I am actually looking at a WG SO set in either oynx or GMOP (will probably go with oynx). I think the GMOP will go beautifully with the RG. Your "hand" will make a statement with your ring and Clover, and your "face" will also make a statement with the GMOP. Really really pretty and casual elegant chic. An all-metal chain to me just does not create the same look. That's just me of course. Everyone has their preferences.

If you like all matching stones sets and not alternating pave (I prefer all the same myself), you can also SO an all GMOP set...RG GMOP earrings and RG GMOP matching 20 motif (or 10 motif). Of course that would be a SO and I'm not sure if you want to wait that long (my SA told me a SO WG oynx set would take 6 months).

Just some thoughts Iwanted to share... I hope they were helpful to make your decision. Keep us posted on what you decide! I am so excited for you! And congrats again on your new pieces!

Awesome ideas! Thank you!

I will build slowly one set at a time.

I am going to pick up sweet rose gold 16 to wear as choker. The small motifs should with the clover nicely and not to take away the beauty ofcl the cherry blossom earring.

I personally prefer solid gold jewelry / precious gemstones, it is much more durable. Mother of pearls and pearls need a lot of care, I try staying away as much as I can. They are beautiful to look at and so elegant. Just need a lot of care .

I will continue to build my rose gold collection slowly, maybe VCA would come out with something fun every season or maybe my taste would change.

So for now, this would be my the set I would build

Clover bangle
Cherry blossom earring
Sweet 16 necklace

yay! Let’s see how it turn out to be.

thank you for helping me decide

These pieces are really pretty together. I like that they match without being sane design. I would like the cherry blossom earrings but I have no RG pieces so have been holding off. Was considering getting them and the Japan magic pendant as an ‘asia’ set. But I need to try on pendant first to see if underwhelming.

Maybe it is time to build rose gold collection!

the cherry blossom is smaller than vintage alhambra. You might want to try them together to see if you like it.

i like earring bigger than the necklace so the sweet necklace size went really well just like the way i would like it to be. Magic necklace is definitely a statement piece. It would be interesting to try them together.

post picture when you do. I would be excited to see.
