Perlee Clover bangle sizing question

What is your wrist size? I just went trough sizing questions early this year for my Clover so I understand your dilemma. My wrist is just under 15cm (about 5.8 inch), JUC 16 and I chose a medium because I prefer more movement but I also could have done a small with movement (my SA said I really should get a small but I went with my gut feeling of wanting a medium). In the end it really comes down to preference. I understand that others who have a wrist size somewhat like mine also fell in between VCA's small or medium sizing (why can't anything ever be easy LOL) and it eventually comes down to personal preference. If you are a bit smaller in size (ex: 14.5 cm) you could do a small easily or if you measure larger (ex: 15.3 cm) you could do a medium easily with both not requiring much thought. As always it is best to try it on though.

Between your two design choices... that's a tough one. Perlee Clover is the most well known but also the most popular and I'm seeing it more and more (and praying it isn't the new Cartier Love - no offence to Love owners the Love is still beautiful) while the three row is less known but even more sparkly. Re: the three row - it may be less identifiable as VCA but if you know your VCA (those are the opinions that matter anyway - joke - kinda....) you know the three row. I usually judge my desire for an item partially based on how "signature" a design is to a brand (or can it be found elsewhere by another brand?) and while at first thought the single and three row seem like they could be found by other brands no one gets the beaded trim quite like VCA's which makes any item in the Perlee line special. Again, I think you need to go with what draws you more: do you like more brand associated designs (yes, despite what people are going to say - the Clover design is almost logo like in that its easily identifiable as VCA) or if you like more sparkle and under the radar brand designs. Neither are wrong and both will make a statement.

My wrist is about 16 cm (6.3inch). Shall I go for a medium?
As for design, i love the look for clover as it has an antique european look. It’s-association to the brand was not quit the main part of the decision making. And it is true that there will be more people wearing it.

I like the three roll as it is simple and plain. It is easy to maintain. But maybe a little too plain?

I am getting the bangle to to pair with my rose gold padparadscha ring attached below.

Firstly, I have to say your ring is stunning!!! Secondly, both designs will look lovely with it but I think the design of the Clover will look very pretty and feminine with this ring. The three row will offer a lot of sparkle.
That being said, I think medium would be better. Have you looked at the Van Cleef sizing chart? I am linking it here:
https://www.vancleefarpels.com/cont...n-cleef-arpels-motif-size-guide-perlee-en.pdf
According to the chart, if your wrist measures 6.3 inches you could do a small or medium in the Clover design and a medium in the three row design. If you are thinking Clover I think the size choice is going to come down to whether you like a more fitted bangle or one with more movement. I would do a Clover medium in your measurement but it really is personal comfort and preference. If you choose the three row I think that size (med) will be easier to determine if we follow the chart.
I am excited to hear what you choose!

Thank you for sharing that chart!
i think i would agreed with you that the clover looks more feminine and pretty and goes well with the ring.

it stands out more with the design.

I would probably go with the clover with size medium.

I love them both and own the clover. I have had it many years and it is my "go to" bracelet. I wear it with my 5 motif turquoise in yellow gold and sometimes my 5 motif yellow gold Guilloche bracelet. My vote is the clover bracelet!

wow great to know that it is your go to bracelet! I have been staying away from bangles for years since i move around and exercise a lot. This year I am deciding to trying it out after a long while not wearing bangle haha

I would go with the size medium, and I would get a clover. The clover is the most artistic to me with a beautiful design. That bangle is pure art, even the underside. The other two bangles, while very nice, are more just diamond bangles. Simple and plain, but you may like simple and plain. For me, when I buy VCA, it's about the artistic design of a piece which VCA is known for their art and design (e.g. Perlee, Frivole, Lotus).

Also, on metal... may I suggest WG instead of RG? From the photo with the ring on your left ring finger, it seems maybe the ring will be worn as an engagement ring? If yes, then I would definitely suggest a WG clover. I love matchy matchy. However, to me, whatever metal one has for their engagement ring is exempt from matchy matchy. An engagement ring is bought at a point in time and is sentimental.

To me, it is more important to match metal to other VCA pieces. I recall you have VCA WG Alhambra necklace pieces (not quite sure)? If yes, WG clover would look fabulous with your WG Alhambra necklace. In my opinion, wearing a WG Alhambra necklace and a RG Clover bracelet is not quite the same.

If you do want to get RG and wear a bangle on the same hand as your ring, I think a clover would be a nice complement as the ring setting is simple. I think a "diamond bangle" might be too simple of a set together (e.g. does not look like luxury high end jewelry set if that makes sense). Hence I would go with the more artistic clover bangle. This is all preference of course, and you may prefer simple and plain of course.

I vote WG Clover in medium. Just my thoughts for a point of view. I hope that helps in your decision.

I generally wear standard 7" bracelets, and I know the medium in Perlee Clover fits me. Perlee Clover would absolutely be my choice, and I think it would be a great addition to your fantastic collection!

How many links did you have removed from your 5 motif to end up at 6.9"?

I think 1 link between each motif so it is still even

Thank you for your input. That was very thoughtful

I am buying this bangle really just to go with the rose gold ring. Most of my other jewelries are in white gold and yellow gold. I do have 5motif white gold pave to go with the alhambra necklace.

I change out my rings to match my outfit and jewelry set but i always only wear one ring and on ring finger.

i found it hard to match this ring with my white gold and yellow gold set. Thus i need a rose gold bangle to go with it.

i agree size M should be a better fit

as far as design: i am swinging between the two designs…still

i thought i made up my mind already a moment ago. But i am swinging again lol

If you are buying it to match the ring, for me I would get the RG Clover. It will highlight the RG and also add more pop to your set.

Your ring setting is simple, and adding a diamond bangle is more of the simple + simple, unless that is what you want. I know the common thought is the more diamonds the better, but then everything just becomes diamonds and not design. I've tried the three row bangle (also the one row), and to me it's just a diamond bangle, not a lot of design when worn alone. If you stack the bangle, it will add more character, but I think you are looking at only one bangle. The clover with your ring will make a beautiful set. But I know, some people just think diamonds are the end all and want as much diamonds as possible without any design.

You can do a test... take the VCA label out of your mind and these are just two bangles, from Bloomies or a mall jewelry store. Do you prefer more a artistic design or just a diamond bangle?

For me, I think the clover with your ring pops so much more as a set and will enrich the padparadscha as I always seem to think of padparadschas as "old world" elegance, in a good way (e.g. the coveted pinky orange Lotus color sapphire).

That's just me though, and I wanted to share this for another point of view. Either are lovely. Good luck!

thank you for making those great points! One bangle is what I want. I don’s particularly like stacking a lot of things together.

Looks like Clover will be my choice. The clover design was what I truly love and attracted to. Clover bangle is unique in it’s own way with full taste of cultural elements and very artistic. It suits my style. I normally dress (up) very plain with solid colors too. It should add a great pop of color and design to my outfit.

Would you think the cherry blossom earring go with the theme?

I have a few clover earrings, frivole and butterflies in white and yellow gold already. Try to avoid duplicating more of those designs. But i dont quite like the perlee line of earring.

thinking of pairing the rose gold set with lucky spring cherry blossom earring. Thoughts?

Yes, I agree. I think the Clover bangle can stand on its own too. Often times, people wear a bracelet and feel the need to stack because it's lacking presence and needs more pop. Not with the Clover, that bracelet makes a statement on its own.

It's funny you mentioned the cherry blossom earrings. I really like these earrings. With the new Lucky Spring line, this is the only piece I like. I find the other pieces too youthful, or dare I say, childish, for me. My opinion of course, and everyone's taste is different, but I want to share my perspective.

I really like the cherry blossom earrings, and I think it's a great choice! The curve of the flower and the milgrain edge makes it a great match to the clover bracelet. Yes, I know VCA calls the tiny balls "golden beads" (they have the best writers in the marketing dept), but we all know in jewelry speak, it's just a milgrain edge. I love milgrain edges... it provides a nice touch of sophistication to jewelry pieces, and I like the bold milgrain of the cherrry blossom. Yet the flower design and MOP keep it feminine.

I am not crazy about the Perlee earrings either. They are a bit harsh for my taste. The hoop and gold look almost Byzantine to me, and that's not my style. The only other earring I think would be a perfect match are the Vintage Pave Diamond Alhambra earrings. But you already have Alhambra pave, so maybe skip if you don't want to repeat. I do think the RG MOP cherry blossom earrings would bring warmth and elegance to your padparadscha as this stone is a sophisticated stone. Those are just my thoughts of course.

Hope that helps.
