Pearl advice

Hi, not sure if it'd be okay to ask here - would anyone have any recommendations on where to get nice freshwater pearls? I have a lovely round Pearl of ayokas that costed me an arm and a leg (at least to me). I'm itching to get something again but can't afford another arm and leg and I do want something with a slightly different colour.

Your Akoyas are beautiful. And classic rounds never go out of style. You can find good quality fresh water pearls in natural colors but just understand, freshwater pearls do not have the luster that Akoyas do. I have both.

All my pearls came from Pearl Paradise. They have freshwater, salt water and South Seas. Among my collection I have a short strand of their Freshadama pearls that have a great luster, though I didn't think they were as round as advertized, more ovalish IMO and a 35" strand of their AAA grade pearls that I found rounder and actually prettier than the Freshadama which is not supposed to be the case lol. They also have sales periodically so you can save money if you can wait for a sale.

What mm size are the pearls on your necklace?

Thank you! They are 8.5-9mm. The earrings are 9.5mm, slightly bigger..
