hmm, looking at it carefully again.. the cut grade is only very good. not even excellent. does it matters?
and 2.6 carat for a pear shape is consider big or small? is it like a 2.6 carat round brilliant size? :)

Cut definately does matter. The cut of the stone definately affects its value and sparkle factor. As for the size, 2.6 carats is a very large size stone. However, I would like to know the depth vs. table size to determine how large the stone presence. Again, the certificate needs to be viewed in order to better understand the stone.

honeybeez, the ring is gorgeous. The detail is very nice. :smile1:

I agree with AntiqueShopper that you'll have to see more of the specs in order to know if the diamond is good. I've heard that what is written on paper can not be used to judge the diamond. If you are interested, you may want to ask if they can provide you with a copy of the GIA report to make a decision. That's what I did with my diamond even though it was a HW.

You just have to ask yourself how important is it to have a D colored stone. You will pay more for that.

I'm just not WOWed by that ring, but that's just me.
