I only ask because I ordered 2 Large Bowery Satchels from Macy's in peanut and black to decide on color. I thought I had decided to keep the black but the more I look at the peanut the more I like it. Is it too light for fall and winter? Would you keep the black instead?

Having a similar struggle, however I'm debating the Large Selma in Peanut or Luggage. The Peanut is on sale and can be combined with the current sale bringing it down to $233.50 and I kind of like the lighter shade as opposed to the darker Luggage colour. I'm very picky though in regards to matching my accessories - most of my leather watches are closer to the luggage colour; same with my footwear so I'm stuck!

Absolutely great all year round color to go with casual attire.
check out Kate Hudson in peanut Riley, I own this same bag :D

I agree, I have this bag in peanut too and love it- if looks great with jeans and is definitely year round. I really like the Riley by the way. The shoulder strap placement has been debated, some like it some don't. I quite like where it is but I only use if I need to be temporarily hands free, I usually use the handles.

I'm looking at the Riley now, The MK boutique has it in sale for $220.....the shoulder strap isn't an issue for me since I never use them.

I think all you lovely ladies have made up my mind for me....I believe I'm keeping the peanut color.

How are you liking your Riley? I was looking at that one too
I LOVE, Love, love my Riley! Is an awesome bag. I was scared at first because I bought the watermelon color and was afraid of staining it to easily, but after a whole spring and summer, not a spot on it! It is holding it's shape very well and is just an incredible bag. I don't like the longer strap and think it is way too thin for the size of the bag, so I put my own long chain strap on it which works better for me. I am also leery of where the strap attaches towards the center of the bag and am hoping it doesn't cause the leather to tear eventually, as I see the strap pulling on the leather constantly, so I mainly carry it by the handles or in the crook of my arm. Other than that small issue ( for me, others don't mind it at all) I love the outer pocket for my cell and the interior is fantastic with a great center zipped divider compartment, giving it TWO interior zipper compartments, which is really nice. Really is a an overall, fabulous bag.
