I think this is a perfect example of that you don't really know what's going on in someone's life from social media. I think we're all guilty of seeing people's instagrams/facebook's and thinking that that person has a great life! In reality you never really know. People only post what they want you to see.

Its also her interviews and articles she wrote for a parenting magazine. The truth of her problems and life as a mother would have been more respected. Anyway, i am not here to bash the dead. Just her recent articles are very disturbing in light.

I was so sad and shocked when I heard about this! I saw a video on YouTube where she argued on a British talk show about parenting, and I thought she was so clever and articulate and that her mother would have been proud. So sad!

This. I also wonder about Thomas Cohen, the husband.

Peaches was almost sanctimonious about child rearing (attachment parenting etc.). Very twisted - as a heroin user you are hardly in a position to tell others what is right or wrong about parenting. Those poor little chaps - they must miss her terribly. My heart really aches for them.

I do hope Cohen's parents who are not that old and who are quite involved with their grandkids take good care of them.

Not to offend the dead, but it was very hypocritical of her to go on all these TV shows, telling people about her way of raising her kids, how much she loved them, etc. but then she would go home and do heroin. Come on. I know she did in fact love her kids, but I think she should have gone to rehab and beat that demon again for her kids sake. Now their motherless. :shucks:

Amen!

I think that's really unfair. It's not hypocritical. Heroin is a b*tch of a drug and maybe she really wanted to come off it, and obviously couldn't. I think her Instagram and the way she talked were the way she really wanted her life to be - and to an extent it was. I think she was trying very, very hard and couldn't beat it.

Addiction and heroin are awful things. I feel nothing but sympathy for those who try desperately to come off them but just can't.

Did you know her personally? Or how do you know she desperately wanted to come off it? Maybe she did, maybe she didn't.

This notwithstanding, as an addict your are not really in a position to lecture others about parenting. I also think she truly loved her boys. This makes it all the harder to understand why she did not enter rehab. My heart aches for those two little boys.

Nobody here knows her personally. My comments were directed to the term hypocritical. I don't believe she could see outside of her addiction and was probably battling her own self-image as well.

It's so important to be nice to the people you know in real life- although it isn't any one person's fault that someone turns out like this- I wonder if she had a supportive environment and better friends and family support, if this could have been avoided

I think a lot of people (even non-famous) curate their "image" for social media. In general people are more inclined to share their happy moments than their dark moments on Instagram, Twitter, etc

Peaches Geldof’s heartbroken widower Thomas Cohen was seen walking through London on Friday afternoon.

The former S.C.U.M singer and father of Peaches two children looked smart in a light grey suit and a cream scarf as he walked through the streets with his headphones on.

Thomas wore his hair in a scruffy ponytail, and was seen carrying a bright embroidered backpack which he slung over his left shoulder.

It’s the second time the singer has been pictured since his wife’s sudden death at their Kent home on April 7.

Last week Thomas was seen walking through the capital with a female companion .

Wearing a denim jacket, red top and spotted blue scarf, the father-of-two, who tragically found his wife’s body on the day she died, was seen chatting to his friend as they wandered down the street.

Thomas’ second appearance comes days after it was reported that Peaches Geldof was seen rowing with Cohen over her “obsession” with a dead heroin addict singer the last time the couple were seen together.

They were heard “arguing like teenagers” on a train over the number of songs Peaches had on her iPhone by cult American star Elliott Smith who died 10 years ago.

Thomas, 23, left the train alone following the row. It is believed to be the last time he saw her alive.

Fuming Peaches, 25, then had a phone bust-up with a London restaurant after they said they were fully booked even though she told them who she was.

Four days later she was found dead on her bed. An inquest has heard the likely cause was a heroin overdose.

Yeah, everyone actually. You cannot show everything, everyone makes a (subconscious?) decision about what they share online.
