As you all know in my view - also the opinion to all of my Cartier SAs I've talked to regarding this issue (was thinking of buying, too) - a reg Pavé looks silly when combined with other Loves ... different thickness. However, if you still want to go ahead definitely use WG. Diamonds do not really shine on RG and YG.

Attached two pics to illustrate that - sry for the bad quality. It's dark already. I hope you see the difference.

I was also not pleased with the different thickness between my original Love bracelets and the pavé so I kept only the pavé. I respectfully disagree with your assessment re diamonds on yellow gold and rose gold. Diamonds are of course closer in color to white gold but they absolutely show up on YG & RG and look fabulous.

Thank you everyone for your advice so far! I really am stuck and don't think I'll be able to decide until I've tried both on. So once that happens, I'll be sure to post additional photos of how they look on my skin and with my other jewelry.

Some additional photos of others that I'm saving to try and help make my decision...

I have RG and WG... my vote hands down is for the WG. It has a much bigger sparkle for whatever reason and stacks amazingly well with any other metal. I think that, down the line, you may want to add a different one, but def start with WG.

thank you so much for the advice! Would you mind posting pics of yours? :)

I'm not quite sure if I want to recommend WG as your first option. Certainly it's more eye-catching and stands out more, but that also isolates it to some degree in a stack if not backed by more white gold. I've attached two pictures that I've posted before. The first shows the WG Pave without backing and the second shows an additional WG Love next to the WG Pave. That looks better to me because it's not so isolated.

Some more try on photos! Still trying to decide ‍♀ Lol

I am leaning towards WG now as it really is a brighter / stand out piece but am scared that let’s say 10 years after purchasing it, it may dull a lot or turn color from the rhodium wearing off whereas I wouldn’t really have that problem with the YG. and for something so expensive, I feel it is a shame to have that happen when they only allow redipping In rhodium 1-2 times in the jewelry’s lifetime.

However, if it was only to happen on the top and bottom sides of the bracelet and not the part with the diamonds, I would probably be okay with that.

any of you white gold pave owners have thoughts on this?

what has the wear and tear been like on your white gold one? Did you notice it turn color at all (like yellow or Greyish) due to the rhodium rubbing off?

The wear and tear have not been too bad. If I wore the WG pave right next to the head of the JUC, I did notice scratching on the pave. The diamonds on the head of the JUC would make some scratches on the side of the pave, but no discoloration yet and no scratches on the top of the pave. I wear a YG cuff in between now and the scratching since has been minimal.

Both WG and YG look stunning on you. Best of luck with your decision, better yet get both!

I prefer the yellow gold on you. It looks just a little bit richer against your skin. The white gold is nice too but to me yellow gold has the edge and looks slightly more classic.
