Parker Quilted Top Handle or Cassie Crossbody. Would love your opinions and/ or votes.

The Cassie. I own the Parker in the quilted leather and can’t ever take her out. The leather is really sensitive to moisture and you have to baby it. The Cassie has a more sturdy leather, but because of the structure there might be some everyday edge wear. Either way, get the one you want the most. Happy shopping!

I didn’t realize that the quilted leather was sensitive to moisture! I live in a rainy/ snowy climate. Is that the case with all Nappa leather?

Nappa leather is typically lamb skin. ( Chanel has similar bags). While it’s a pretty leather that holds its color, it’s also sensitive. It can handle some moisture, but not a lot. The sales rep told me to not carry it in the rain. The quilted nappa also gets imprints in it very easily. So if you store it wrap the chain as it can leave an intent.

I was also debating between the Parker and Cassie. Ultimately decided on the (cherry red) Cassie because the top handle lays flat when being used crossbody. It also reminded me a little of the LV pochette metis, which I also like. It feels like this can be a very carefree bag, and as the other said, also easy to dress up!

The red one is so pretty! They didn’t have that color on the website. Were there any other Cassie colors in store that aren’t on the website? I wish they had one in a Navy or dark teal. ❤️

I really adore the look of the Parker more.
I know it’s small but I don’t carry a lot most days. I’m worried a bit about the leather being more delicate than the Cassie. I have been waiting for this to be on sale because I can’t pull the trigger on that $450 price tag.

I love the Cassie and feel it would hold up better because of the pebble leather and be more practical.

My thoughts exactly. Depends how you'd use it then. If an every day bag, then Cassie may be more practical. If more dressy, then Parker could work.

I just went to the website. Wish they made it in 1941 red! I'm not a fan of the colorblocking on it but maybe if I saw it IRL.

I just came home with the Cassie in black. I went to Macy’s and as soon as I saw it I knew it was coming home with me.. It’s lightweight,understated,perfect size and I love the top handle and roomy outside pocket!

FYI: anyone looking at the Cassie on Macy’s website will see that they have the regular turn lock in the pics but the ones in my Macy’s had the “C” turn lock. I like the “C” turn lock it has a little more oomph against the basic black. Just something to be aware if ordering through Macy’s.

I ordered via Macys online and it did come with a C-lock (black color) even though it's pictured with a regular knob. I'm returning it though, it's too heavy. Maybe the canvas Cassie is lighter?, but the bag is much heavier than LV's PM.
