Hacking is possible, but to not properly discuss with me the evidence they’ve found for this be fraud and to make me aware of what is actually going on is not right. I’m sure there is legitimate fraud happening within the delivery system, but is it always the sender? it may even be a discussion with UPS for me to understand their process and the current climate of fraud within the delivery system. Fashionphile is cutting off their business with me due to this - literally over something I have no clue or involvement with…seems like they gave up without hassle on what could have been a good paying customer. I hope at the least this is helpful for those dealing with Fashionphile. Don’t be surprised if somehow your tracking and delivery drop or information changes DURING the delivery process when it’s out of your possession.
Have you reported this to Better Business Bureau ?

I sent $2k earrings to fashionphile via FedEx on Saturday. Label was supplied by Fashionphile. The FedEx worker at the FedEx office was rude and annoyed that he had a customer. He told me to use self service although there was no one else there. After I scanned the label, placed it in the drop box and it printed a receipt, I said, this would probably be difficult for older people. With an attitude, he said, we can help them. I had an uneasy feeling leaving my package there.

On Sunday, it was in Maspeth out for delivery but it wasn’t delivered until Monday. Fashionphile didn’t show it was delivered or checked in. On Tuesday, I messaged Fashionphile via its website to ask why it didn’t show delivered.

On Wednesday night, it showed, “This item requires your attention”. On Thursday morning, Fashionphile stated the earrings weren’t in the box and I needed to speak with the claims department who weren’t available. I left a message and emailed them. They will respond within 2 business days.

FedEx holds onto videos for 30 days. I filed a police report and requested they view the video at the FedEx office. The officers said, I can get the police report then go to FedEx and ask to see the video also.

I also wonder if fashionphile records when their employees open packages. I was going to drop it off at Neiman Marcus and wish I did! So stressful.

I’m so sorry this is happening to you. I had a similar experience a couple of years ago after many years of sending to fashionphile with no issue. It took a while but finally they sent payment. It was the last time I sold anything to fashionphile. They refused to provide any detail it was truly frustrating. Before that it never occurred to me that they could simple say oh we didn’t receive your item (package empty - thank goodness I had the drop off receipt with actual weight) so not paying and no we can’t share info and we have restricted the courier from providing info (I used the label provided by fashionphile). I’m sure this will work out for you, but still super stressful!

Yes, super stressful and disappointing. Unfortunately, the drop off receipt doesn’t show the weight. I scanned the package and placed it down the chute. I’m essentially at the mercy of fashionphile and its investigation. Unless, I go to court. I’d only drop it off at Neiman Marcus if I ever sell to them again. This stress is way too much.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

I had a similar experience, and Fashionphile paid me after about a month of investigation. You can call Fedex at their one 800 number and ask them to look at the record for the package as it traveled, most likely there will be a weight somewhere along the process, hopefully the full package weight, and Fashionphile can compare this to what they received. It took a little over a month for me to get paid, but Fashionphile and the shipping carrier did an investigation to determine where the package weight changed, and I assume they watched the surveillance footage at that location to determine what happened.

Thank you that’s very helpful. It didn’t travel far from Long Island to NYC but hopefully, there will still be a package weight somewhere along the way. I will look into this. Thanks!

My local Fedex center refuse to put weight on the receipt too since last year, used to be able to weight and print out receipt with weight on it. I feel very unease on that also. My local UPS store had tried not to print out weight since last year, I kinda of "forced" them to register weight. I wonder if " no weight" registered on check in receipt give those carriers a way out of responsibility if item were stolen or lost.

The weight is not stated on the label.

The weight of the package on the FedEx website is 1 lb but this may be what FP stated.

I don’t know if the jewelry box was stolen along with the earrings or if the earrings were taken out of the box. It was a cufflink jewelry box. The earrings were snapped shut around each string. You have to pull them open to remove them.

I’m panicking more because the earrings alone don’t weigh much although still should show a difference in weight.

Also, FedEx stated there was no claim made yet.

That’s good to know. It sure sounds like a way out for them. This is awful.
