I will visit jewelry store this week. I guess it is still between the mid-size ss oyster domed or Air King. I think it is better to go with datejust but I have to get what I love. The decision will come down to color face. I've been talking about a blue face forever and now maybe a MOP. What do you guys think?

I have an Air King with a blue dial that I got pre-owned that I love. I like the look because it is a classic look but works very well casually. It doesn't scream Rolex either. And best of all the price is more within reach.

I called my SA. They are transferring in the blue dial Air King for me - should arrive midweek. I've always loved the size of this one. He has another unusual oyster one with black and orange on face (sounds a little Halloweenish!) that is a 36 mm. It costs a couple hundred more. I'm intriqued but think I'll like the blue Air King more.

I tried on this blue Air King last July and fell in love. But then I went ahead and bought my WG Cartier bangle instead. I still have to space out these kind of purchases. Then I bought 3 LVs over the winter. This has to be my final luxury item because I need to save $$$ for air fares - visiting oldest at college and also flying him in. I think I should stick with my 1st choice (Air King - blue) because whenever I get swayed, I always come back to the original!

I'm nuts and probably driving everyone here nuts too! I tried on the blue air king this morning. I loved it last July. But today, it did not make my heart sing. Maybe it looks better with summer clothes and a tan. I'm going to wait and save and wait and save some more all summer. Perhaps I should reconsider YM or mid-size oyster datejust. Also, those styles hold value better.

Yes I have the 2-tone in a ladies size but yellow gold (not the rose) and a ss in a mid-size. Both are jubilee and fluted. But I want a new one (still keeping the others) that is more sporty. I think I want an oyster and domed combo but not sure about face. Haven't totally ruled out air king or YM but I think it may be smarter to go with datejust. Will be busy for months deciding and saving!

Bummer you didn't love it. Thank goodness you tried it out before you bought it. If you got with the datejust what size would you do, 36mm? What about the day date it is 34 mm but has the date on it? I have a friend that has the day date domed oyster with silver face and sticks. It looks really cute and sporty on her. Oh, or the Explorer I is good too if you like black, it is also 34mm.

The search continues... as I pretend it is my own search as well :)
