I have two jubilee fluted rolexes as many of you know! My ladies is the two-tone with diamond markers and my mid-size is ss with Roman Rhodium. Both are jubilee bracelets and fluted bezels. If I save for a 3rd and go for the sporty look, I think I would like a mid-size with the oyster bracelet and domed bezel. I also think this costs a little less than the others. What are all your favorite choices for face colors and type of markers? Or should I go "crazy" and get the YM that would be copying my friend? If I go for the YM, I'm leaning towards the ladies and she wants the mid-size. Thanks so much for all your valuable opinions!

I think if you are looking at getting another rolex, you could defo consider the YM, to me that would round out your collection and it is a stunning watch. Dont worry about copying your friend, you are not copying.

Get the Yachtmaster! I don't think the oyster is going to give you the "sporty" feel you are going for. But my dial preference would be a stick dial in white or silver if you didn't get the YM.

What do yo think price is these days of mid-size oyster /w domed bezel? But no MOP or diamonds. And this is before any discount. I'm sure someone might have an approximate idea!

Hokoplan, I was looking at a midsize 34mm, white dial, oyster with domed bezel and the retail listed price was $5100 at Ben Bridge. Look at swissluxury.com and they have lots of options and list prices, although they listed the aforementioned one at 5250.. I don't think they are a authorized dealer, but you can see lots of pics.

They start at $5,150 for the all stainless. A domed bezel will be stainless, while a fluted bezel is white gold. That's where the price difference comes in (before dials, bands, etc...the oyster band is a bit less $ than the jubilee).

Thanks ETenebris! That is definitely a lot less % than the YM. Especially since I'd probably be getting mid-size YM as some others pointed out that ladies YM may be too small. I still have to see ALL of then IRL. But if I go back to air king verse mid-size DJ in oyster and domed - which do you like more? All opinions welcome!

Hokoplan, you are right, midsize is the 31 mm. In my mind 34mm is a midsize watch so I misspoke. I believe the air king and date are both 34mm. Which I think is the perfect size. I don't know anything about the YM.

If you were considering the ladies size, I would go midsize instead of the 34mm Air-King. And I really like having the Date feature, as well as the options that the DJ has over the AK. However, the domed bezel does limit future options, as some of the dial upgrades are only available with the white gold bezel, but I think you said you already have some of the other fancier versions, so that may not be an issue. What size(s) are your other watches? If you already have a 31mm, you might want to go bigger. I think I just rationalized myself into a circle here...

I think you did go in a circle! LOL! I have 26mm, 31mm, 33mm, 38mm, etc. I have no 29 or 35. I'll look up what my Michele is. When you said mid-size instead of Airking, were you talking about DJ or YM? I think you meant DJ and I definitely would go domed cause I have 2 fluted.

Wow - I forgot about this old thread! I guess my opinions stayed the same! It is great to know that the domed bezel costs less than fluted. I just want to totally love the face and don't know which combo to get. l
