I was talking to my SA today and she was very excited because our store is becoming a flagship store. I mentioned the disappointing fall collection. She agreed that the runway show was..um..not what she has expected. That being said, she assured me that the bags were MUCH nicer on "normal" people (read: people with eyebrows) and that some of the bags were really nice. She mentioned that one year, COACH had runway models wearing actually socks with heels because that was the trend in NY. It clearly wasn't a trend that caught on fire!! LOL. So I am hopeful that the fall line will be a bit better than the first impression. Or the first impression for some of us anyway.

The ankle socks with heels wasn't too long ago - in fact I think it was the splash screen for TPF on mobile IIRC!

Runway is meant to be over the top, controversial... as long as you're talking about it, it doesn't really matter if you like it or not.

The shoes remind me of Doc Martens. I liked them when I was in my 20s, but I suspect I would look foolish in them now n my 40s. :)

I did like the rust/orange suede bag. Wonder what the price will be like for it.

This collection is very 1970s San Francisco bohemian-inspired.

I'm kind of over the non-stop rehash of the 70s myself. I was getting excited for the 80s and 90s rehash (neon! teal/purple!), but they were a apparently a blip.

And now we're back to chunky heels like the early Aughts.

The 70's were way more fun than the 80's or the 90's!
