Does it bother anyone besides me that Coach.com send their bags without the complete packaging they used to send it with? It came brand spanking new with the styrofoam wrapped around the strap, tissue paper covering the zippers and hardware, the dustbag inside bag, inside the Coach logo plastic packaging. Now they take it out of the plastic, take all the wrapping off, take the clean dustbag out of the bag and stick the bag in it then wrap it with tissue paper. I personally hate this. When I order from dept. stores, like Macy's or Bloomies, even they have the complete packaging. Am I too picky? I feel for full priced bags they should still be sent with its original packaging. Thx for reading my rant and please let me know if this bothers sny of you.

I agree! It always felt like Christmas morning opening all that wonderful Coach packaging and knowing you were the first to have touched your new bag :)

OMG! I totally agree!

I had always bought from Coach factory online and 99% of the time had things come all wrapped up. At the department stores it depends on if they have any new one's left, if it's the display then obviously it's not wrapped

I just bought my first two bags from the retail store within the past month and was not too happy when I got them un-wrapped. I totally agree with everyone of your sentiments and wish they would STOP IT! Leave it wrapped! It is almost like someone else opened your present for you. Not as fun!

I just got my FOS order and the bag was wrapped beautifully.
I ordered three haircalf Candaces from FOS last year and each one was packed horribly. The handles had been pushed down against the sides and made indentations in the bag. After the third try, I gave up.

Oh I hear ya.... I love my bags wrapped!

The boutique does the same thing, totally unwrapped and in the dustbag... I hate that.. lol.. Whenever I get one from the boutique I ask them for one that is still wrapped like a mummy... LOL..

I can't understand why (for me anyway) they take them out of the packaging. I always think it's a saving money thing, but I can't figure out how. In fact, doesn't the tissue paper they wrap it in cost more? On the receipt they have the gall to print "special signature wrapping" like it's special! It's not, it sucks, amd I don't like it. I wrote CS and when I described the bags as being "factory wrapped" they thought I meant ordering from The Factory Store! Duh! They won 't even let me be a member of the FOS! What rocket scientists...

I agree! I have never received something that I paid full price for from Jax that wasn't just in the dust bag with a few air pillows in the box. When you pay half on FOS it's wrapped perfectly. Makes no sense.

My last bag from JAX just last week had no wrapping and no dust bag (legacy duffle). :(

I know!! That happened to me at around the same time. When I got two bags in February, on the other hand, it was wrapped perfectly. And so when the SA's are not very happy to see me with exchanges/returns, partly it's because of that!! The strap was just tucked inside the bag, and two bags' were deformed/greatly wrinkled because of bad packaging. For the price that everyone's paying for these things, I don't think it's a "good deal" just because any of them were purchased with PCE!

Maybe they want to check the bag over before they send it off since it was a FP purchase? Just guessing...not sure, really. I do know they are trying to save tissue. They used wrap it around the bags both ways and now they wrap it just one way; it saves them like 9 million sheets per....whatever, I forget. It also gives them the ability to ship more bags per container by using less tissue. They also reuse shipping cartons. Coach wants to be green. They've done other things, I can't remember now. I read their sustainability report awhile back when I was bored one night.

The green aspect may be an insight, they don't want customers disposing of the plastic improperly maybe.....? But when I go out of my way to write CS they shouldn't add insult to injury and play dumb, unless not all of them are properly informed.

I think (and agree) that the "signature packing" is just the last straw for me too though...if you do it a certain way (arguably badly), at least don't advertise it like it's special!
