Hi all,
My husband upgraded my diamond about a year and a half ago. I'd convinced him to let me take this almost half carat stone, add a matching stone and have a pair of earrings made. ImageUploadedByPurseForum1428447449.179193.jpg
I'm very conflicted. I thought I would wear this stone plus the wrap as a right hand ring. I have worn it but not that often. Here is what I wear. ImageUploadedByPurseForum1428447573.247264.jpg Tiffany mesh ring.

You can see they are all white gold and silver. I have several other old yellow gold rings as well.
Garnet, peridot, smoky Quartz, and pearl.
I would wear earrings constantly. I have half ctw studs so I was thinking about a drop on French ear wires. I'm supposed to go tomorrow and drop off the diamond but I'm a sad to say good by to this ring. I've looked down on it for a long time.
I want to be practical and not have something just sitting in my jewelry box. ImageUploadedByPurseForum1428448158.851885.jpg

Perhaps you want to take a little more time to think before you commit to something? I understand between being conflicted about the sentimental and practical aspects. Good luck!

I recently did the same thing. My original stone was a very nice .51 round. On our 10 year I thought I wanted a hearts on fire halo setting to make my stone look bigger and add flash. That setting is now for sale at jewels by grace and I found a jeweler to help me match my center stone. I wasn't even sure I was a stud earring gal but wow! I love them and haven't taken them off since I got them a couple weeks ago!

I do have a ring thing, too, and I have lots of stacking bands and couple of right hand rings. I finally decided I'm not a big solitaire person. I like them on other people but I prefer something different and I'm all about having things I'll really wear. Hope this helps! :smile1:

The earrings are being made. In the end I was waffling and my husband made the final call. He and the jeweler thought they would be beautiful. I'll post photos when they are ready.

I picked up my earrings today. He did such a great job that I can't tell which was the original diamond. They have so much sparkle. ATTACH]2977711[/ATTACH]ImageUploadedByPurseForum1430257968.929528.jpg I'm so glad we did it.
