I love this watch, it's so classy. I love how you can see the movement on the back (I'm a sucker for those). Seikos are great, one of my favourite souvenirs from Japan is a motion powered Seiko watch. Had it for 6 years and it still runs like clockwork.

Can't wait to see modelling pics Ame! Congrats!

Thanks! I am just getting back to wearing a watch, I didn't want to dump a LOT of money into something, even though really for someone who never wears one, any money is a lot for a watch. I hope I wear it enough to justify it!

I love Seiko watches, bought one of their sports watches in the 70s and wore it 24/7 for over a decade. Actually bought 2 at the same time on a trip to Hong Hong, and my sister is still wearing the other one to this day.

Thanks everyone! It shipped last night so I should have it sometime next week!

I felt good about this one lasting a while, though this is my first automatic. So hopefully I can figure it out. I am so not a watch person, not my field of expertise at all. I drew a big circle the same size as the watch on my arm so I knew if it would work sizewise. The BB in 36 was the one I ended up liking the most, which surprised me, so I figured this size should be ok.

Lovely watch! I'm a big fan of Seiko! I have great respect for their watchmaking heritage, especially that they beat the Swiss at their own game (I'm referring to the abrupt end of the Geneva Observatory).
