How about trying an inexpensive bag in a similar color and see how you feel. Does it attract attention? Do you feel self conscious or does it make you smile on a dark day and lift your mood.

With the OP, these are the two options. Nothing in between. I would say it is 50-50 chance. Expensive experiment for sure, so I like your idea!
I definitely would do a pop of colour in the winter, however to be honest I tend towards the blues and greens but my husband loves orange. He loves to wear his orange band on his Apple Watch. It’s swift and it is quite bright and he enjoys that with jeans and neutral shirt. He was disappointed that the Hermes sneakers with the orange on them didn’t fit him well. However those are small touches of colour. I have bright green winter coat and it gets all sort of attention and compliments. I don’t mind. To quote Harry Winston “People will stare, make it worth their while”. The B35 is a bigger bag, and a large investment in your wardrobe, if you are concerned that it won’t fly under the radar so to speak, I think looking at a neutral may be your best option and adding those twillys to change up it up in the seasons.Ah, I believe you Canadians do undestand the circumstances here in Scandinavia in winter time! May I ask if you could see yourself wearing Poppy Orange in winter?? Especially if it is just dark and cold, like many winter days here at least.. Everyone going with their black bags and there I come, with a Poppy Orange B

Big Yes from a fellow Scandinavian. We definitely need more brightness in the winter months. Unless it’s Stockholm or Oslo centre, probably no one will even know it’s a Birkin. You should get the colour you love and screw what people might think.
Me too, I love H oranges!! Rose Jaipur is just. But yes, it is just like you described. People would see me coming loooong way ahead.

I live in a Central European city and even though I love my K25 in bleu Celeste, I’m rarely wearing it in winter because it is such a bright color.

I think you are spot on. I am trying to find a happy bright color bag I can wear year around but for me it will not be a reality. In winter I need something I know I can feel "comfortable" wearing. Otherwise it will stay on the shelf. I really hope I could be brave enough to wear the poppiest bag you can find on the wintery street of my city, but for the moment it will not be the case.

Found it from a wonderful, sweet and legit reseller with a great price. I truly feel blessed. Next one will be a Kelly in BRIGHT fearless orange poppy color for sure, lol!

I also live in Canada and I have a picotin in feu and a Kelly in bleu hydra and I wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing them in our winters. It is a nice idea to inject some colour into our drab yet practical winter attire, but in our city, it would be like a bright star shining on a dark night. Personally, I don’t like calling that kind of attention to what I’m carrying, regardless of the season.
