To me, the e-ring makes a statement on its own. If you were to add a band, I would go with one slim diamond band, with maybe another slim plain band as a spacer. Or a slim diamond band on either side. I'm in the group thinking that the combination you have pictured makes the two rings compete against each other.

I need opinions! My husband got me this radiant cut ring as an upgrade back in spring. I have been wearing it alone, and have decided its time to add a band. I can't decide between this large band with it (picture attached) or a thin diamond band on either side. Is this too huge and obnoxious? (Please forgive how dirty my e ring is and how gross my nails look)

Both rings are gorgeous on their own. Together they take away from each other. I had the same thing happen. My DH gave me a new ring for our wedding vow renewal. I had to change out my wedding band since it was too thick and clashed with the E ring. I opted for a very small diamond band for my new wedding band. Here is a pic.

Personally I would wear your gorgeous ring on its own. If you like the band you can wear it as a right hand ring, but these two together don't look good. It's just too much.
